Going Home

   I stayed in the hospital for like 4 days. The nurses were super nice, but I missed Georgia. I couldn't wait to call her when I was able to leave this joint. I groaned, trying my best to not rip my stitches or damage my ribs anymore. I limped over to my bag that resting in the seat by the window. I had my hand deep in it, searching for my phone. Just as my thumb brushed the home button, a voice called out to me. 

   "Exactly what do you think you're doing?" I jumped and whirled around. Jensen and the rest of my family stood there. Chuckling awkwardly, I held up my phone. Jensen shook his head. "You could've asked you know." I shrugged with a smile. "I could've. But where's the fun in that?" Danneel smirked and nudged Jensen. "She acts so much like Macie it's scary. Reminds me of you when you come home from filming." I blushed and turned my attention to JJ and the twins. "Hey little sis. I've missed you!" She timidly shuffled up to my legs. JJ gently hugged them and mumbled something into my gown. Leaning my head down, I asked "What was that?" She tilted her head back to see mine and repeated herself. "I said that I missed you too. You were gone for a long time. I-I thought maybe you-you didn't want to be my-my sister anymore." Her eyes began to water while my heart broke. "Awe sweetie no. C'mon, hop on up here." I sat down on the bed and so did JJ. "Look at me. Don't you dare think that I wanted to leave. I thought about you and coming back home the entire time I was away." Gathering up my courage, I breathed out "I love you JJ." She smiled and hugged me again. Glancing up at Jensen and Danneel, they had glossy eyes. Swallowing, I hugged her back and whispered. "I love you both." Jensen looked choked up and Danneel could only mouth it back. 

   Taking a deep breath, I wiped my eyes and JJ's. Danneel shook her head and blinked away her tears. "It's time to go home Rae, honey. The house has been far too quiet without you around." I grinned and moved to get ready for the nurse to release me. Just on time, a nurse walked through the door. He took out my IV and chirped "Alrighty, you're good to go girl. Hope you get to feeling better. You better not move around too much, we don't want you back in here." I giggled and went to go change into my own clothes. The sweatpants felt amazing and I carefully pulled the tank top over my head. Walking out of the bathroom, JJ grabbed my hand and we all strolled out of the hospital doors. 

   Clif had his car ready for us. Jensen leaned over and kissed his wife. He mumbled "See you at home." He crouched down and kissed his kids' heads. Turning to me, he helped me into the SUV. "Up we go." I giggled at his phrasing. "Aren't you gonna buckle me in?" He rolled his eyes while he chortled. Clif got in to the driver's seat and started the car. I sighed and smiled at the thought of being home again.
