We drove for about an hour or so. I couldn't look at everything hard enough. I mean, Texas was so different from Tennessee. Here, no mountains were in view and the land was flat. It was so hot! Tennessee could never get this hot. But I have to say, the warmth felt amazing on my forever cold skin.

Jensen shifted in his seat to talk to me. "So how do you like Texas so far?" I smiled,"I could definitely get used to the heat." He laughed and agreed. We turned into a gated neighborhood and then we parked in a smooth driveway. I tried to steady my breathing and not freak out.  It's okay. You're fine. They're sweet people. They won't hurt you, no one will anymore. I unbuckled my seat and went to open my door, but Jensen beat me to it. I blushed and smiled as a thank you. He held out his hand and helped me out of the car. I steadied myself and held onto his arm and we began to walk to my new home.

Let me just say it, the house was friggin massive! I knew the family had money, but it hadn't really clicked just how much they had. You'd never know, they don't act conceited at all. I stared in awe and Jensen quietly questioned me, "I hope it's nicer than the orphanage?" I glanced over at him and gaped, "I've never even had my own bed, let alone stay in this beautiful of a home. It's gorgeous." He sheepishly smiled and turned to say goodbye to Cliff, Jared, and Misha. "I'll see you all tomorrow for the dinner." Jensen walked the three men to the door while I wandered around the living room and kitchen. I couldn't help but admire the immaculate appliances. I lightly traced my finger over on the eyes on the stainless steel stove.

"You like to make food?" a small voice called out from behind me. I whirled around to find little JJ Ackles standing a few feet from me. I knelt down to her level and spoke to her, "I do. I love to make cookies, cakes, brownies, and other desserts." Her bright eyes grew bigger at the mention of brownies. She gaped at me in total awe, "You make brownies??" I nodded and leaned in closer to her. She mimicked me. "I can even make cookies and brownies in one food." She quietly squealed and latched on to me. "I like you. You're my new best friend. No take backsies." I laughed as she held up her hands to be held. I gently picked her up and shifted her to my hip. "How about we find your daddy and see if he'll let us make some, huh?" She nodded eagerly.

We walked out of the kitchen together and found Jensen standing in the living room, glancing around. "Daddy, can my best friend stay?" he jumped at the unexpected noise and pivoted around to face us. Jensen chuckled, embarrassed at being caught scared. He smiled loving at JJ and explained to her. "Baby girl this is Raelyn. She's going to be your big sister, okay?" I nervously glanced down to see JJ looking up at me with big doe eyes. "You mean you get to stay for keepsies? Like forever and ever?" I hesitantly shook my head yes. She squealed and clapped her hands. "Yay! We can make so many brownies and cookies and you can swim with me and we can sing together and color pictures and-" I couldn't hold back my giggles at her little rant of things to do. "Alright honey. How about this, you write down all the things you wanna do and we'll check them off as we go?" She cheered then fidgeted until I set her down. JJ ran off somewhere, probably to her room to make out the list.

I smiled after the adorable little girl and turned back to Jensen and found him gazing at me. "What?" I mumbled sheepishly. He beamed at me, "You fit in so well already." I blushed and shyly smiled back at him. "So, you probably want to see your room. It's up through here." Jensen beckoned me to follow. "I hope you like it." He stopped in front of a door on the left, right across from the bathroom. Jensen then opened the door to let me walk in first. I gasped at the sight of my bedroom.
