The grass under my feet wilted a little as I walked across to where Solace was waiting.  His hands were placed firmly on his hips, his foot tapping impatiently. I would never guess that the son of Apollo wars about to give me, deadly son of Hades, a lecture on my health. That is, until I reached him.
"3 days, Di Angelo.  You owe me that much." Now, that wasn't much of a lecture, but of course I had to open my big mouth and say,
"I'm fine!" Wills glare hardened and I knew it was a mistake.
"Nico. Di Angelo. You are as pale as a ghost and don't think I don't see you at meals.  You barely eat! You need rest.  That, and you just saved the entire camp! Your body is completely ready to dissolve into shadows.  So no, you're not fine!"  Will grabbed my hand and dragged me to the infirmary.
"Watch it, Solace." I ripped my hand from his and shot him a glare.  He rolled his eyes and opened the door, unfazed.  The whole place was feeling with death.  A single tear rolled down my cheek as I took it in.  There were Apollo campers rushing back and forth, calling names and supplies out.  Every bed was occupied with hurt or dying campers.  That's right, folks. I don't like death.  I may be son of Hades, but I sure as hell don't like death.  Death separates people.  It curses families and rips friends apart.  I should know.  I kept my face down as Will led me to a room in the back and sat me on the bed, closing the door behind him.
"What's wrong?" Wills tone softened as he looked at my face.  I wiped the tear off and looked back at him.
"W-Will," I said shakily.  "So many people here... they won't make it." I ducked my head.  "I just don't want you to think it's your fault when they go."  He bit his lip and tilted his head, his blonde waves flipping to one side.  I noticed his freckles more in the light of the white room.
"Do you... know who?" His voice was very soft.  I knew how sensitive a topic this was for him, every death that had happened here he had blamed himself for.  It really hit him hard when he couldn't save someone.  I glanced at the floor.
"Will!!" Someone shrieked outside.  He shot up and ran back to where his sister was and a patient lay on the cot.  I followed to the door and watched.  She had a spear sticking out of her gut, and her eyes were wild with fear.    I knew this one wouldn't end well.
"No one else.. only you could." I could hear from the door.  He nodded and his face hardened.  I could only see his back as he sat and shouted orders around him, taking complete command.  It was strange to see him this way, someone who was a fighter, a healer, and a musician in action.  Most Apollo kids only had one or two of their fathers abilities.  Will was different.  He had so many gifts. I shrugged it off and continued to watch in fascination as he worked, tense. A couple minutes later he stood, his head bowed, and walked back towards me.
"How is she?" I asked.
"I.. don't know. I can only hope my best will be enough."
"You did a good job. If she dies, it's not your fault." I reassured him. He nodded, his face grim, then he made a conscious effort to set a smile across his cheeks and turn back to me.
"Now it's your turn. You must be exhausted, but before you sleep, I have to give you a check up."
