The Accident

Letting go.

Killian sits down on a chair next to me and rubs his finger on my face. My eyes open and I look at his tears stained face. He is looking the other way so he doesn't see me. I think that he thinks I'm sleeping.

I am forced to say on my side because of the stitches. I kiss his finger lightly and he jumps a bit and looks at me.

"Come here captain." I say and he leans his face closer to me.

I wipe the tears that have fallen and are falling know away and kiss him lightly and put my hand on his face and rub his little scruff on his face. More tears fall down his face the longer he looks at me. I wipe them away making room for more to fall.

I take his hand and put it on my bare stomach that has a cute bump. The baby moves and his face lightens up a little.

"Killian," I say, "what's wrong?"

"Emma, it's nothing it's just," he stammered, "I should have been there to protect you." He looks down at my stomach.

I close my eyes the pain in my back taking over my body. Tears roll down my face. I sigh and open my eyes and see Killian watching me. He wipes the tears off my face. I smile at him. He looks at me confusedly.

I bring his face closer to mine and kiss him. I then rest my head on his forehead. I close my eyes and move and try to get into a more comfortable position.

My head starts banging telling me to let go. I link my fingers with Killian's and hold on to them tightly. A alarm starts going off but ignore it and focus of the love of my life. Doctors start rushing in, and when they see me they are surprised. I close my eyes and focus on the people who need me. My breath starts to hitch. I focus on keeping my breath steady. My breath gets more normal and the pain isn't as bad. I open my eyes and see the doctors just watching me in awe. I look and see Killian smiling nervously.

I let go of Killian's hand and stretch my arms and that makes my back feel so much better. I move and sit up and all the pain in my back almost goes away. I open my eyes and see the doctors with their jaws dropped open. I turn to Killian who is watching the door. Standing behind it is Emila with Maríe in her arms and Eva holding her other hand. Killian stands up and walks to the door and that's when everything goes down hill.

The whole room starts to move in circles and I can't force my eyes to stay open. I lay back down in the position I was in before and monitors start to go off. My head starts banging and the pain in my back takes control of my head and brain.

The doctors rush over. I let go and let my eyes close. I hear them forcing Killian and the girls out of the room. I try and breath naturally but my breath hitches and I can't breath. They put a mask on my face and I fall into a deep sleep. I let go of everything.
