The Accident

Five Months

It's been five months scince I found Jake and Maríe went missing. Everyone is looking for her but they have no news. My heart breaks more everyday. It's also getting close to my due date. Eva is staying with my brother so Killian and I can get some alone time before this baby comes.

I went to bed feeling amazing. I woke up quickly with horrible contractions. They are so close together. I scream and Killian wakes up quickly. I rip my shorts off and get Killian to check to see if he can see the baby's head. He said no but I know that it's comming soon. He gets some wet clothes and we wait thirty minutes and the baby is crowning. I'm in so much pain. Emotional and physical pain. I push and after a few minutes I hear crying. Killian is holding a baby in his hands and he in smiling. This is the first time I have seen him smile scince Maríe went missing.

"It's a girl Emma." He says his eyes filling with tears.

I smile. "Abbigail Grace Destiny Jones." I blurt and he laughs.

He puts Abbi in my arms and I clean her off. Killian calls my doctor and he comes and gets Abbi cleaned up and checks me out. Everything is fine with me and Abbi. I'm so relieved.

Killian lays down next to me and pulls me closer to him and I hold Abbi close to my chest.

It's been two months and we still have no news about Maríe. We have made a nursery for Abbi and today both of our parents are comming over to meet her. My life had been horrible. Loosing Maríe and not having a lot of sleep. Killian is being so strong as more days pass I get closer and closer to the breaking point. Jake is also comming over with Will and Sam and Kelly.

I hear the door bell rings and Eva gets up and opens the door with Killian. Everyone walks in at once. My phone rings and Abbi stirs in my arms. My mom takes Abbi away from me and I answer my phone.

Emma: "Hello this is Emma Jones?"

Maríe-Belle: "Mommy this is Maríe-Belle. I need to tell you something. I will see you soon and the man says I will see you soon... I'm okay.... I miss you so much but I know you're doing everything to find me... I miss you and daddy so much... tell Eva I say happy birthday for however years I will miss... I heard you found a boy named Jake... they person who took me says thank you... I love you momma..." She says and hangs up.

"Maríe-Belle.... Maríe-Belle.... Maríe!" I yell into the phone.

Tears fill my eyes and I can't tell if they are happy or sad. Everyone watches me with a ting of hope in their eyes. Tears fall from my eyes and I throw my phone across the room and my head falls into my hands. Tears fall quickly. Someone sits next to me and I open my eyes to see my dad. I stand up quickly. I back away from him. Everyone is watching us.

"Emma it's okay." He says.

"Who are you to say it's okay!!" I yell at him.

"Emma he's okay he got medicine to help what ever was going through his head." Says my mom calmly.

"You can't just tell me that and expect me to forgive him." I say and walk over and pick up my phone. Glass falls out of the screen and it cuts my finger but ignore it. I walk into the kitchen and everyone follows me. I put my phone down and put a bandage around my finger. I then put tape on my phone screen and I call the police to see if they can trace the number. Dead end.

They search the house and there is a sign of people living there but it's abandoned.

My heart breaks and I almost break. Not even Abbi can fill that empty hole in my heart. I wish she could but nobody can replace my special Maríe-Belle Sophía Jones.
