What a boring, but innocent life I lived... It all started only less than a week ago when I was at home, after school. I was sitting on the couch on my phone, then the oddest thing happened... The screen of my phone began flashing blue, blue everywhere I then saw, the tv screen, blue, the laptop screen, blue. Our house was washed with this unwanted blue that seemed to jump at me alarmingly from multiple screens.

I tried turning off and on my phone but it did not react it just kept flashing blue, unsure what to do I threw it frustratingly on the couch, and went to go see what it was like outside. Everywhere the headlights of cars flashing blue, everywhere the streets flooded with the color of blue. I looked over to see tons of neighbors standing outside with the same bewildered look on their faces as I.

People began to flood the streets, running to their cars to turn it off. Nothing worked, just blue everywhere. Then, it all stopped. Like the color had been silenced. The streets filled with eerie quietness. Everyone had froze like time had stopped itself, just to see what would come after this dangerous silence.

Soon worry filled my mind, where were my parents? Had all the vehicles in Washington stopped? Had this happened everywhere? And what was causing this?

Then some sort of siren began to fill my ears. I jumped at the sudden noise. It rang through the oddly silent city, so many people, but no one sure what to do.

I decided to go back inside, and see if my phone worked. I shut the door and picked my phone up but it stayed off. As though it was dead. I noticed none of the lights were on, and the only thing that gave me sight was the sun coming through the window, sweeping the darkness away with light.

Then I heard a scream, them with it more and more screams. Till my ears ached from the noise, I ran to see what it was outside swinging my door open. Military people mixed with people in the street. I noticed a few of their vehicles and felt a second of relief before I realized that they were the cause for the screams.

They were beginning to beat people and guns were pulled out for those who did not cooperate. I noticed their skin was also speckled with blue spots and their eyes were almost completely blue. The sound of deadly gunshots rang through my ears. My eyes widened in alarm. Lifeless bodies began to fall to the streets, blood is what I saw. And it made my stomach turn into knots.

Soon I snapped out of my trance and realized what danger this could be. I slammed my door shut. Questions developed in my mind. Why was the military hurting innocent people? What happened to their skin? Why were they doing this?

Then a new thought occurred in my mind; I need to get out of here! I ran to my back door, and slid out. I lived on the edge of the city, Washington Dc, near a forest. I looked both ways to see if anyone saw me, then began running as fast as I could. As I ran I heard people yelling orders, to come back, but it didn't matter whether I wanted to or not, my legs weren't stopping. I heard gunshots close to me but I finally ran into the safety of the trees. At the moment my fate was up to the forests.
