The Gray Garden: School Edition (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 4

Konnichiwa, minna-san! Here is the new chapter. I'm sorry that I took such a long time to complete the chapter, mainly because I'm lazy, and I haven't play video games for like 2 years. ^^'''(Sorry~) Well here I am, back to the story once again. Hope you enjoy! (Cheers for me! Just kidding. :P)

Christmas is over now and a new year has started, the sun is up in the sky and it's shining brightly. The sunray shines through Grora's room to warm the cold air.

"Beep beep, beep beep, beep beep," the sound of a digital alarm clock sounds off, Grora's hand presses the button on top of it to make it stop. She wakes up and stretches out her arms with a delightful "crack" sound of her back. She yawns and rubs her eyes, she is still not fully awake. Then, she comes down from her bed and does some simple exercise to keep her healthy.

After she has finished, she faces the window and breathes in, then greets: "Hello sunshine, hello new school! This is so exciting! I'm going to the same class with Etihw, again! Better go get myself ready though. Don't wanna be late for the first day to school."

She goes to her bathroom and washes herself. After that, she opens her cupboard and picks out her junior middle school uniform and wears it on. The uniform is a type of sailor's suit, it is a grey blouse with long sleeves and attached with a sailor-style collar with a matching color pleated skirt. She ties a red neckerchief in front of her chest and wears a pair of knee-length black stockings and a pair of shiny black shoes. She looks into the mirror and ties her hair into two lower ponytails and wears her favorite hair pin, the same hair pin that Etihw commented when they're in elementary school.

When she's all set, she brings her school bag and have a delicious and nutritious breakfast downstairs. There is a bowl of rice, a bowl of fresh seafood soup, fish and some side dishes. She claps her hands together and says "Itadakimasu!" before she digs in. The TV is turned on and showing news about the weather today, then it flashes to a breaking news about gangsters involved in some crime.

"...There has been a robbery occurred in a famous jewelry shop of Tokyo, Ranshen Hoseki, two masked robbers with a gun and a knife. The amount of jewelry that had been robbed is more than 60,000 yen! The robbers left as soon they had done their business. So far, no one has injured. The police and their men are currently investigating the crime---"

The TV is turned off by Grora with a frown. I don't want to see anything like this to ruin the day, sigh, hope the police will catch those bastards as soon as possible.

After a few minutes of having the meal, Grora grabs her bag and heads off to school. She skips and jumps as she is very happy to meet new friends and teachers. On the way to her new school, she sees a familiar figure in front of her. She quickly goes to her side and greets her with a grin: "Mornin' Etihw!"

Her raven-haired friend turns to look at her with a warm smile and a polite greeting: "Oh, good morning, Grora. A wonderful day to start a new journey, is it not?"

"You sure are really excited for school, aren't you?" Grora skips one step ahead of Etihw and turns around to face her with a teasing grin.

Etihw smiles and asks back: "Who wouldn't? I'm sure everyone is thrilled for the first day of school, to meet new and old friends, new teachers, create new memories together......"

"And, new enemies," replied Grora. She clasps her hands and puts behind the back of her head not bothering to look at Etihw in the eye. Her brows frown a bit, in her mind she's still worrying about Etihw being targeted as a victim.

Noticing her worried face, Etihw hesitates for a while, then speaks: "I'll be fine. I'm not a weakling, Grora. If there's some delinquents trying to intimidate me, they don't stand a chance against me. Have you forgotten last Christmas?"
