I was ready.

Ready to face the cadences, harmonies and flows of the story he had to tell.

But also ready to investigate this Barbados situation. All in due time.

I was dressed in flared navy pants that fit perfectly around my shape, paired with a while and blue pinstripe shirt that showed just enough to distract but covered enough that you could regain focus.

I kept my long bundles dark and pin straight. I had chosen to accessorise with large thin silver hoops and dark Gucci sunglasses to encase my eyes. I finished my look with white court Loubs and a checkered Louis.

Checkered like my past.

I looked the bizness, if I did say so myself.

As the dark Bentley Bentyaga that had been waiting for me on the Tarmac at LAX pulled through the huge dark iron gates and up onto the sienna paved YOLO estate driveway, I fixed myself in my compact mirror.

Like I said, I was ready.

The drive had been a quiet one. The driver asking me some basic questions, nothing to personal but enough to get to know me as the girlfriend of his boss.

He did not check his phone or make a call once while I was in the car, as expected. I had sworn him to secrecy about my return to LA.

As the car came to a stop, I took a breath and I stepped out, my heel contacting the stone with plenty of dominance. I proceeded to thank the driver for all his help in getting me here.
Once he pulled off, I went to clasp my manicured hand around my suitcase and pull it up to walk into the house.

As I put my key into the door, I took another deep breath.

It was time to face the music.

Swinging the huge oak door open, I was met with the sound of his voice on Controlla rolling through the house. I became momentarily distracted at the silkiness of his voice. He had a quality that likened his voice to that of liquid gold.

It followed me through the grand hallway.

At this point, I was sure Views was probably playing on loop so I quickly followed the hollering, smell of weed and sound of clinking glasses towards the backyard.

I strode across the kitchen, glancing around at what was now also my home. Running my hand over the sand coloured marble work tops, I realised how much I'd missed it and everything that came with it.

Once I reached the glass patio doors, I slid them open with some force. My eyes were sparkling behind my glasses as the ruckus came to an abrupt stop.

Taking a moment, I made my way to the near edge of the pool, taking long strides, basking in the attention that had been placed on me.

I watched as Aubrey's head lifted and his eyes, encased in dark lashes, roamed up and down my body. He sat on top the stone above the waterfall, teetering precariously, while laughing as Chubbs stood behind him.

His stare was intense - as always - and even from such a distance, it's strength sent a wave of weakness from my head to my ...

I looked around before slowly sliding my glasses down the bridge of my nose and off my face. Our eyes locked immediately.

"Hello." I said to all the boys at once, flashing them a Killa watt smile.

They greeted me back tentatively, as though they were waiting for the bomb to explode.
