The light above me was bright. Bright as hell. The air was crisp, cold and clinical.
I'm pretty sure I was lying down on a bed but at this point I really didn't know.
"She passed out .."
"How long...."
I heard two voices none of which were familiar, yet they were soothing. I wasn't alone but I didn't know where I was.
"What's the date Reynolds? I need it for the paperwork."
"June 29th"
"Did you take her tests?"
Tests? What tests? I didn't like this kept in the dark shit. But I couldn't wake up to protest. I could hear but they didn't know that. I could see but they didn't know that. I was awake and they knew that.
I wanted Aubrey. But where was he? My man wasn't by my side .. well that's what I thought at least.
"All the tests were positive Sir"
