Oh my gods! I kissed him!

Or did he kiss me?

Does it matter? I'm kissing William Solace!

He was warm. I released his tee shirt and smoothed my hand out across his chest. I could feel his heart beating rapidly underneath my palm.

My other hand tangled itself in Will's hair. Gods, I loved doing that. I didn't even notice when his hands went up to cup my cheeks.

Every inch of my body, down to my fingertips, my toes, was on fire. Absolutely swelteringly hot.

Suddenly, my mind came back to reality and I remembered.

Pulling back, ignoring the little whine from Will, I sniffed, looking down at my hand on his chest. "You have a boyfriend."

I looked up as he chuckled. "Is this you agreeing to be mine?" His eyes met mine and they were crystalline blue, rivaling the oceans of the world. He was so bright and golden, it was as if everything was encompassed in his otherworldly brilliance.

I smiled, sadly, and licked my lips. "I'm talking about Mason..." Registering his confused pout, I continued, "You're dating Mason."

Will still looked lost.

I bit my lip. "You've been dating him for the past two months. Did.. Did you forget?"

His eyes cleared. "Oh!" His hands moved to my shoulders. "We were never really dating." He looked down. "It was actually just a plot. Since Aphrodite cabin's rite of passage is to break someone's heart, we were pretending to be together." Then he turned red. "And I was only with him to try to get over you..." His words faltered off as I blushed.

Reality hit me again. "But... Don't you remember how totally in love with him you were?" I stepped out of his space to sit down on the bed. I looked at my hands. "You two went on a picnic. And when I tried to warn you about him," I paused and looked back up at Will, "You said he loved you. Do you not remember any of this?"

Will sat down next to me. "Umm.. Not really? I don't remember ever spending time with Mason these past few months. I don't remember ever loving him, either. The nicest emotion I've felt while being around him was minor aggravation, instead of major." Will looked up at me and I could feel my face cracking with a grin.

"Did it work?" I asked more to the air than Will. Jumping up off the bed, I continued. "I think it did." I turned back towards Will, and without any doubt, leaned down and kissed him.

I pulled away, though still in his space, and questioned, "You don't hate me?" Will looked perplexed but happy.

"Why would I hate you?" He whispered, glancing down at my lips. Grinning, I flung my arms around his neck.

We fell backwards as Will leaned down. I released him and blinked the daze out of my eyes. Will was looking up at me like I was the one who put the stars in the sky.

I remarked, "People are warmer when they're alive." He laughed and it was like an earthquake. I pushed myself off of him and walked towards the door, banging on it with all my might.

"Hey! Hazel, Austin, we made up!" Bang, bang, ba- The door swung open and my arm met air and almost Hazel's shit-eating grin.

Her eyes were waggling as she giggled, "You made out, you mean." I let my hand fall forward so my palm landed on the middle of her face. I covered her eyes to hide my blush. Looking over her shoulder at Austin, I shook my head "no" and mouthed, "I did not make out with your brother."

Taking my hand off of Hazel's face and said, "I kissed him, if that satisfies you. I think... I think it worked." I blushed and Hazel looked so happy she was going to cry. "Please don't start the waterworks."

I felt two hands on my shoulders and a chin on the top of my head. I like the way this feels. At that thought, I squeaked and reached my hand up to take Will's. Lifting it up, I spun underneath his arm and smiled up at him. I didn't release his hand.

I looked back towards the two demigods. "Thanks for unlocking the door."

Austin and Hazel were grinning from ear-to-ear, almost cooing.

A wild Kayla appeared, slinging her arms around Hazel and Austin. "So... What're you gonna do about Mr. Slimeball?" I marveled at her stellar knowledge of gossip. I shrugged and looked back at Will, who was already looking at me.

"Uh, just tell him it's over?" Will supplied. "All I'm going to be doing is breaking up with him. That's a pretty normal teenager thing to do, right?" He swung our interlocked hands a little bit, and I thought the dumb notion of: I could get used to this.

"Y-yeah." I swallowed, "I mean, we're not normal teenagers, but yeah, I think so."

"Let's do it!" Jason appeared in my line of vision, giving a high five to Kayla. I gave a confused look to the two of them. How come they're always well-informed all the time?

"You guys seem way too excited about this," Will blushed.

"We are excited about this!" Hazel practically squeaked. "Oh!" Her eyes lit up. "I realize we've never been properly introduced!" Sticking out her hand, she continued, "I'm Hazel Levesque. I'm sure you know I'm Nico's half-sister."

Will shook her hand, smiling. "You know my name already, but hello, I'm Will, it's nice to meet you." They chuckled at themselves and a warmth started in the pit of my stomach.

"Meeting the family already, huh, Will? Looks like this is becoming pretty serious." Jason joked, wiggling his eyebrows at me. Will laughed it off and swung our hands a little bit more.

"Stop yourself," I glared at him. Jason was immune to the hatred coming out of my eyes and laughed at me.

"Let's go break up with Mason," Kayla said excitedly.

"Let's?"

"Yes, let's! We're coming with you two!" Austin looked angry yet excited, ready to punch Mason's face in.

I looked at Will and shrugged.

"Okay."
