The next day zoomed by until lunch. Patrick asked me to sit with him before first period so I grabbed my lunch and headed to his usual table.

I took a seat in between Patrick and another very cute boy with dark and beautiful eyes.

"Hey Claire! I'm glad we didn't scare you off yesterday!" Patrick shouted.

"Hey Patrick! Now introduce me to everybody because I feel horrible for not already knowing!!" I said.

"Alright missy. The handsome man next to you is Pete Wentz."

I turned to Pete and smiled sheepishly.

"That stud with the floppy hair is Joe." Patrick pointed across the table.

Joe started chuckling.

"And last, but certainly not least, that is the lovely Andy."

The last guy introduced waved to me and smiled shyly.

I turned to every guy at the table and repeated their name to make sure I remembered each one.

"Pete."

"The one and only." Pete said and winked. Patrick reached over me and punched him playfully.

"Joe."

Joe nodded.

"Andy."

Andy glanced at me and gave me a sweet smile.

I turned to Patrick and gave him a fake look of confusion.

"Annnnnnd, who are you, again?" I asked, and then poked his chest that was covered by a nice leather jacket.

"Brendon Urie, of course!!" He yelled.

I glanced at the table that I had sat at since the beginning of my attendance here at Hillsman. I saw Brendon staring right back.

He quickly looked away.

-

Once seventh period arrived I remembered that everybody was still performing.

I wonder who we would hear today!

When class finally started, I was again sitting with Patrick.

I looked over at Ryan who seemed particularly interested in what Dallon was jotting down.

Suddenly, my phone lit up and started to lightly vibrating on my thigh. It was a message from Ryan that read:

'I miss you!'

I giggled and looked towards Ryan who was already staring at me.

'Remember that I'll be at your practice tonight, silly!'

I texted back.

"So I'm hoping that you guys still remember what you wanted to perform because we are continuing yesterday's assignment." Vic said.

The class gave a sigh to signal their disapproval.

"C'mon guys! It's just music. You guys are great at this!!"

A few kids still groaned, but I guess he made a few people less anxious.

"So, who wants to go first today?" Vic voiced enthusiastically.

A few hands shot up and the performances started.

A group called Paramour went on the 'stage' and started off with a song called The Only Exception.

Halfway through the song, Patrick put his arm around me on the old leather couch we were sitting on.

(Yeah, Vic really doesn't like desks. There are like 3 couches in this class)

Patrick leaned into my ear and whispered,

"Some hair, Hayley has, huh?"

"Yeah! I love it!" I responded, knowing he was talking about the lead singer. She had colorful locks of vibrant orange and red hair that perfectly framed her face.

After a few more groups performed, Patrick's arm was still slung over my not-so-broad shoulders and I didn't mind a bit. Then, the bell decided to ring.

Brendon, Ryan, Dal, and Spencer hadn't performed today and I was really eager to hear them at practice.

I got up and and gathered my things.

"Come by my locker so I can drive you to practice Claire!!" Brendon said as he walked out the door.

"Okay!"

I left the room, saying good bye to Patrick and the rest of the Fall Out Boy group. I really enjoyed sitting with them today. They were a really fun bunch.

-

I found myself walking with Brendon to his car. He insisted that he hold my things.

"Y'know, you don't have to carry that stuff. It's really heavy." I said.

I looked at Brendon, my purple backpack slung over his left shoulder and him carrying my blue binder along with his bulky green one.

He was just too much.

"Oh dear Claire, what if I want to?"

"Well I'd call you insane, because that backpack contains like three textbooks." I replied.

"I don't feel a thing." He grinned as he lugged my things to his car. He popped the trunk of the old maroon convertible and put my stuff in. In the process, he let out a small grunt and I'll admit it was very hot.
