More Than Friends

Chapter 17:

As he holds my hand I feel my heart begin to beat faster, he leans in and so do I. Our noses touch and then-

"Hey you're dad-" Luke walks in and abruptly turns away. "Sorry."

I laugh a little leaving Jai and Luke inside of the house. Waking over to my dad, im picked up by Keegan and thrown over his shoulder.

"Hey! Put me down." I laugh as he walks me over to our father.

He gently places me in front of our dad. As I fix my hair my dad grabs the mic and everyone gathers around.

"I know that many of Kylie's adulthood friends do not really know me, and some of her childhood friends do not really remeber me. I am Liam, the proudest dad in the world, and Kylie is my baby girl. I am almost positivie that she does not need these, but baby girl all those messages and letters you sent, i got them. Now I hope one day you could make me a proud grandfather and pass these on to your children." As he turns towards the entrance, about four heavy set guys walk in carrying boxes of toys.

My eyes water as I see all the gifts I had ever asked for, tears roll down my face as I hug him tightly.

"One more surprise baby." My dad slowly releases me as my hand is grabbed by Jai.

I turn to look at him as he bends down on one knee, I cover my mouth tears falling still down.

You can hear gasps amongst the groups of people standing together.

Jai looks intensely into my eyes, " Kylie Kristen Jenner, my best friend, I know that the way we left things was terrible. I know to get engaged you usually date first. I did one thing right, I asked your dad if it would be okay to do this." He nods at my dad who quickly nods back. "I have been living with a mistake for five years. I do not want to make another mistake, so I am kneeling before you today to ask you for your forgiveness. I am also asking if you could make me and my family, because God knows how much they love you, the happiest people on earth and marry me. If you say yes, though you are very independent which is something I love about you, you will never need anything."

I nod slowly; as he stands up to place his great great grandmothers engangement ring on my finger I jump on to him hugging tightly. Everyone is yelling in excitement when he cups my face and kisses me.

The rest of the night is spent with eating, mingling, and drinking. I wake up the next morning in my bed with Jai's arms tigly wrapped around my waist. I smile and think to myself, "I could stay this way forever." I slowly slip back into a peaceful sleep.
