"It is only a matter of time. Miraz' men and war machines are on their way." Peter explained to everyone has they gathered around the stone table. "That means those same men are not protecting his castle."
I had placed myself on top of the stone table, beside Lucy and Edmund. Susan was standing by Caspian who stood watching every movement Peter did and listened to everything he said.
"What do you propose we do, Sire?" Reepicheep asked Peter.
"We— " Caspian spoke at the same time Peter said "Our—"
Peter looks at Caspian. Caspian concedes, backing off from the young kings death glare.
"Our only hope is to strike them before they strike us." Peter spoke to Reep.
"But that is crazy, no one has ever taken that castle." Caspian fought the words Peter spoke.
After all, Caspian lived in the castle. He knows Miraz better than anyone else, so therefore knows all the tricks to destroy his reign.
"There is always a first time." Peter spoke in a patronising manner.
"We will have the element of surprise." Trumpkin added, agreeing with the High King.
"But we have the advantage here." Caspian disagreed intently.
"If we dig in, we could probably hold them off indefinitely." Susan suggested.
Peter still did not seemed phased by any of the suggestions. He was so stubborn, so he stuck with his own idea.
"Does Katherine have any suggestions?" I snap to her. "As she has close connections with the Telmarines"
She glared to me, knowing I knew. But I am not sure whether I was ready to say what I saw, besides, no one would believe me.
"I have nothing useful to say" she mumbles.
I glare at the young girl, who then grips onto Peter tightly.
"Anyways, I , for one, feel safer underground." Trufflehunter smiled.
"Look, I appreciate what you have done, but this is not a fortress, it is a tomb." Peter spoke, which did make a lot of sense.
"Yes, and if the Telmarines are smart, they will just starve us out." Ed added, agreeing with Peters idea.
"We could collect nuts!" A eager squirrel suggested, trying to help the situation.
The small, delicate creature made me smile. He tried to help as best as he could, but others did not find his words and suggestions at all useful.
"Oh yes, and throw them at the Telmarines!" Reep said sarcastically. "Shut up!"
The squirrel moves back into the shadows, entirely embarrassed.
"I think you know where I stand on this, Sire." Reep added, looking to Peter.
"If I can get your troops in, can you handle the guards?" Peter asked Glenstorm.
"Or die trying, my liege." He replied bowing his head.
"Well that is what I am worried about." Lucy spoke up and looked to me for support.
"Sorry?" Peter asked Lucy, acting very patronising to her.
"Well, you are all acting like there are only two options" I help her.
"Dying here, or dying there." She adds on.
"I am not sure that you two have really been listening properly." Peter spoke about to dismiss anything else we said.
"No, you are not listening." I snap. "Or have you forgotten who really defeated the White Witch, Peter?"
He turned to me with hurt eyes and Lucy agreed with everything I said, which made Peter hurt more. But that is what he needed, a kick back to reality.
"I think we have waited for Aslan long enough." Peter argued.
"Of course you have" I mumble, hoping he would hear.
"What now?" He snaps back.
"Maybe that is why Aslan will not show himself to you" I stand up, calmly looking to him.
"Why then?" He asks, getting more mad. "As you seem to know everything."
"Because you are stubborn and think you can do everything on your own" I walk away. "And Guess what Peter?"
I stop in my tracks as I turn to him once more.
"You cannot" with that I walked away, not wanting to talk to him for any longer.
Moments seemed to go by so quickly, everything was changing and I hated it. I had grew apart from Peter, which made me feel as if I was being torn apart from the others I dearly love. Lucy was very good at calming me down whenever I seemed upset or angry, with her wisdom and knowledge of life. I really admired her for that.
The Narnians were getting everything prepared for tonight's raid on the castle. It was not going to work. Caspian was helping get the amour to every Narnian, to ensure there safety. He was such a great leader; everyone saw it, but no one ever gave him the chance to shine. I continued to watch him move around until he noticed me staring at him.
"Sophia I appreciate you staring at me, but now its getting creepy." Caspian joked.
I blushed with embarrassment and he gave me a little wink. I turned around about to walk out of the How to get some fresh air when I felt Susan pull me to her and Katherine.
"Sophia! Katherine would like some sword fighting practice before we go out tonight" Susan said.
"What?" I yell slightly. "She is going?"
"Why of course she is Soph why would you think not?" Susan asked, frowning.
I looked to Katherine then Susan wanting to blurt out everything I saw her do. But I could not bring myself to do so, I knew no one would believe me and just think I was extremely jealous.
"Never mind" I snap. "So why do you need me?"
"To help me practice" Katherine says.
"Fine then" I say and walks away to the field.
I see her grab a sword from the Narnians and then she came to me. Grabbing my sword, I took to the centre. All of the Narnians gathered together, staring and watching us.
"Tell me to stop when you get tired" she says to me which makes me laugh.
"I do not think so" I laugh to her and begins the fight with the first move.
