Shatter me ~Trunks Briefs x Reader~

I pirouette in the dark
I see the stars through me
Tired mechanical heart
Beats til the song disappears

I ran from C-17, while Trunks was trying to defeat C-18, as I turned around I saw C-17 right in front of me and smirking. "Now you can't run anymore." I clenched my fists and moved into a battle stance. "You really are stupid Earthling." He punched me into my stomach, which made me fall to the ground, but that didn't stop me. As I tried to hit him back, he perfectly dodged my every move. Damn... he's too fast for me...

Somebody shine a light
I'm frozen by the fear in me

So cut me from the line
Dizzy, spinning endlessly

We were fighting for a while, until C-18 came back with someone in her arms.
It was Trunks in her arms... beaten up with ripped clothes."Trunks!" I shouted at him but he seemed knocked out. "Listen little Earthling! We could trade, him for your precious little ring!" Shouted C-18 at me. "W-what!" I need to save Trunks but I can't fight those two!
"Have you decided?"

Shatter me!
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me!

As I threw the ring to them, C-18 let Trunks fall, luckily I was fast enough to catch him.
"Until we meet again." Shortly after both disappeared, Trunks softly opened his eyes and looked at me. "W-what happened?" Gently I laid him on the ground and let my fingers brush through his hair. "I...I had to give them... my ring to save you..." Tears rolled down my cheeks. He lifted his arm and wiped some of them off my face.

If only the clockworks could speak
I wouldn't be so alone
We burn every magnet and spring
And spiral into the unknown

"D-don't worry... We'll have enough time to get your ring back." Slowly he began to sit up and placed his head on my shoulder. Trunks pushed some strands of my hair behind my ear and gently pecked my cheek. "T-trunks..." My cheeks began to burn a little. "[Y/N] please promise me that you'll stay by my side..." I took him into my embrace and hid my face in his chest. "I-I promise!" For a short while we sat there but then we had to find a way, how to defeat those Cyborgs...
