CORY'S POINT OF VEIW

"Class dismissed"  Professor McGonagall called. "Cory Summers, could you come over to my desk please."

There was a shuffle towards the door. I sighed as I  walked up to Professor McGonagall's desk as the last few stragglers walked out into the corridor.

"Mr. Summers, I see that you are having some trouble with your Transfiguration work," She said sternly.

"No I'm doing fine," I said, cursing my voice for cracking.

"Mr. Summers, Your last assignment was to turn a teapot into a tortoise, and you ended up making the teapot explode."

I could feel my cheeks redden as I looked down at my shoes. Annabella was still furious at me, she had glass cuts all over herself now, even though it was her fault for being too stubborn to go to Madam Pomfrey.

"I believe it would be best if I appointed you a tutor." She continued.

I looked up in disbelief. "What!!! You want me to have a tutor?

"Yes Mr.Summers, I think a tutor can help you control your transfiguration. Now, I have to go to a staff meeting. I will find you a tutor and get back to you tomorrow" With that, she left me in the empty classroom. I started walking. I didn't know where. I just walked.

Classes were over for the day. That left me to think about what just happened. I would be the laughing stock of the whole school if anyone found out that I had to have a tutor! Everyone expected me to be this extremely talented Slytherin just like my brother. Head boy, top of the class, and perfect. I scowled, kicking a rock. That's when I noticed where I was.

I was in a small clearing in the edge of the Forbidden Forest, The setting sun glowing gold in between the thin layer of leaves. I took a deep breath as I felt myself relax. This was my safe haven. This was the place that made me feel calm.

Sitting down against a shady tree, I finally felt peaceful. No one was here to judge me. No so-called 'friends' worrying about what pranks they could pull next. No, I wanted none of that. I didn't care about blood status or stupid expectations, I thought as I blew some messy brown hair out of my eyes and threw a silver and green tie to the other end of the clearing. For now, I could rest here before I put that Slytherin mask back on and went back to the castle.
