Ryan's POV
I can't believe she chose him, I can't believe she chose to stay with him
He doesn't deserve the extra chance she's giving him but shes just too gentle to be able to stand up for herself, I guess I'll just have to move on
Chloe's POV
Turns out Thomas did lie, he didn't come home the next day for lunch
That night I got such a shock I quite literally nearly screamed so hard they could hear me in the other side of the planet
I was in the nursery fawning over Archie in his crib when suddenly
"Hey" a familiar voice piped up with from behind me
I was so unprepared that when I heard him I jumped out of my skin
"Holy shit!" I exclaimed and then realised I'd said that in front of Archie "Crap, sorry baby" I apologised to him making the cause of my exclamation chuckle
"You okay there?" Thomas asked me as I recomposed myself
Seconds later I pounced upon him
I jumped up and wrapped my arms around him in excitement, I couldn't believe he was here so soon
"I thought you weren't back until tomorrow!" I exclaimed as I wrapped myself around him and snuggled up against him, his arms wrapped around me felt better than they had in quite a while
Was our marriage finally about to change for the better?
"I just couldn't wait any longer, this trip made me realise just how much I miss you, and Archie, I don't want to go away for that long ever again" he explains to me hurriedly, with a passion I hadn't heard him give to something for a few years now
"You have no idea how much those words mean to me" I tell him, still refusing to let go
"You wanna get down?" He questions with a chuckle
"Not particularly" I reply with and a smirk and he just holds onto me a little more tightly
"Alright then" he replies before kissing my cheek, his attention then turns to Archie, "is he asleep?" He asks softly
"Yeah" I reply and with that he walks us slowly and carefully out of the nursery so as to not wake him up before closing the door very gently for the same purpose
He kissed my cheek and I could feel myself blush, god I'm such a dork
"Now then, how about I give my beautiful wife a specials little treat?" He suggests in a tone that I recognise well
And back to it's all about sex we go, he managed to last an entire like five minutes of romance without sex, I think that must be a new record
"Thomas I'm just not in the mood" I tell him with a sigh, I genuinely believed he'd not just immediately want to screw me, yeah I'm his wife but isn't all you do when you're married surely
"What do you mean? Honey I was gonna cook you a meal not try and get you in bed" he tells me with a smirk and a chuckle, wait seriously? I don't even remember the last time he cooked anything, does he even know how to cook?
"Babe can you even cook?" I giggle at the thought of letting him loose in the kitchen
"Hey do you not remember the time I made....uh....I forgot the name" he say and we both start laughing at his crappy memory but now I remember what he means and that makes me laugh even more
"Babe I ate that and got food poisoning, I was in bed for a week because I just couldn't stop throwing up" I remind him with a chuckle
"Oh yeah right.....wanna order a pizza?" He suggests and I nod happily
I like this change, I really think things are gonna be different now
But why the sudden change?
"I appreciate the suggestion of you cooking though" I tell him as I get down and hug him
"I'll learn how to cook!" He exclaims and I can help laughing at how ridiculous he is, he's hilarious
"You do that honey" I tell him through giggles
"Tomorrow I'm gonna pamper you like the princess you are as my late birthday gift to you, well, that and the actual present I got cuz I'm not a total fail of a husband, I'm just a pretty crap one" he told me and I shook my head
"You're not that bad, you could be MUCH worse" I point out, he's not that bad really, and he's trying harder now, credit where it's due, he did always give me everything I could possibly need or want, just not himself or his time, but now that's about to change
We went downstairs and ordered in pizza, when it arrived, quite soon after, we then sat down with our pizza to watch a movie, super sappy chick flick and he sat through it happily, I can't remember the last time we even watched a movie and now he's watching sappy chick flicks? Wow
"This is really nice" I tell him as I snuggle up against his chest
"I'm glad you like it" he replies
And that was it, I was back in his grasp
