The Affair

Introduction

Chloe's POV

This was crazy, I was getting married today, like MARRIED

I had so many butterflies as I stood before the mirror and opened my eyes, what I saw left me in awe, I couldn't believe the girl I was looking at was me, I would've sworn that it couldn't have been

"You look so beautiful honey" my mom told me with a smile, both of us clearly trying not to cry

"It's about to start" I heard someone call and that was my mom's cue to leave

"You're such a beautiful bride baby girl, I'm so proud of you" she told me softly and I hugged her so tightly

"Thank you mom" I replied, barely able to speak

She was then ushered off to her seat and in came my dad

"My god, my little girl's all grown up" he mumbled as he looked me up and down with a smile, tears in his eyes

"You ready dad?" I asked nervously

"Come on, lets go get you married" he whispered, trying to avoid tears

"I love you daddy" I whispered back, now trying to hold back tears of my own

We finally went out and the wedding march started playing, it was amazing, the whole place was so beautiful

Everyone gasped as I came into view and it was such an amazing feeling

I came down the aisle on my dad's arm and the moment when I reached my new husband was the best moment I though I'd ever experience

I stepped up to the alter after a kiss on the cheek from my father

My dress was so amazing, I felt like a princess

Thomas smiled at me and I could feel myself blushing, everything about him was perfect, I was the luckiest girl alive

The ceremony began and I couldn't get through it fast enough, the words just kept falling out of my mouth all wrong, I was so nervous, the more I messed up the more Thomas and everyone else laughed

I just wanted to be his already, I wanted to say I do, kiss and be his wife

We finally got to the I do's and the rings, he was so calm and controlled, he slipped the ring on my finger so carefully

I, on the other hand, did it rather hurriedly and clumsily, his smile was so reassuring though, I loved him with all of my heart, he was amazing, he made it feel like all my dreams were coming true

It was the perfect day, we were finally married and that first kiss was like magic, fireworks flew, both metaphorically AND physically, NO JOKES there were actually fireworks at the exact moment we kissed! How perfect is that?!

Our first dance was just like in the fairytales, everyone watched in awe, I was in awe and I was doing it

"You're so beautiful" he whispered to me and I blushed yet again

"This was the best day of my life" I told him as people began to join us on the dance floor

"I'm glad" he replied with a smile and kissed me again

That day was forever engraved in my memory

Our marriage was great for a long time, but then just over 3 and a half years after the best day of my life came what should've been one of the others

We found out I was pregnant with our first child and just under 4 and a half years into our marriage I gave birth to our son, Archie, but in that time everything had changed, not that I knew it yet

It would be nearly a year before I knew the truth, but by then was it too late?
