I slowly ripped myself away from Leah, she immediately gasped for air. Did I just crush her airway? There's no way that could possibly happen.
I turned my back at her,the tension being too much for me to handle. But since it was her kitchen,so she knew it like the back of her hand, so I had to ask her where the cereals were.
I hated asking people things,I hated talking as well, but this has to be an exception.
"Cereals, Leah" I sounded harsh, like I was scolding a kid. I didnt mean to,but my voice was long gone, like my heart.
She hurriedly walked towards me and opened a cupboard and took out some wheat flakes, I knew that she was dieting, but wheat flakes were just horrible. I craned my neck to get a better view and bam!
Choco fills were there,my favourite cereal. I tried not to grin like an idiot as I emptied the entire carton in a bowl.
Leah stood there awkwardly, as I put some cold milk in the bowl and settled at the floor. I didnt like sitting on the dining table,my formality was long gone.
I patted my hand at the cool marble floor, signalling Leah to sit.
The silence was at last peaceful, and not awkward. Maybe it was for Leah as she tried to start a conversation desperately, but I was in a different place mentally, with purple skies and graveyards. I could hear Leah calling my name,I was aware of that, but I just wanted to take a walk, mentally.
