"Follow me, please" he requested, but I was shaking already, I wanted to meet Leah right now.
Andy, being the observant person he was, noticed that and immediately stopped.
Andy,I swear to god I need you to lead the way,or I'll find her on my own. This silent threat did not get noticed by him.
I stared at the ground in confusion, what the hell was happening?
"Anne,just calm down." He pleaded.
I could have disobeyed this order, but the sight of an angel being close to tears made my heart burn with heavenly sympathy.
He was about to cry, thanks to me.
"I want to see Leah." I simply stated.
He moved closer to me,his eyes about to pour again from the desperation.
I am such a savage,I told myself.
"I know you do,but the situation is beyond retrieval, no matter what. You can't change it." His voice burned with regret, making me hate myself even more.
"What is... The situation? I blurted out.
His jaw slackened, and he became rigid as a statue.
His hand trailed down to my shoulders and then to my collarbone.
" Can you feel it?" He questioned.
My heart,no. It had stopped ages ago. I was the living proof of a being without a heart.
"Its beating." He clarified.
"Oh," I muttered out. I felt the weak, uneven beating of my heart,I never felt it before now.
"Anne, its horrible. Just seeing Leah breaks me." He choked out.
There he was,on that brink again.
"Are you sure about this?" He questioned again,to make that I wanted to see Leah.
"Situation is beyond retrieval"
So MF classy.
