Ch. 10 Explations

Anika POV

I am waken up by somene lightly shaking my shoulder. "Anika, wake up we are here." I look up and see that it is Scarlett. I look to the other side of me and see Luka sound asleep. "Luke, wake up." I shake him and he comes to. "Where are we?" He asks. " I have no clue." I say. "Come on you guys" Scarlett says while grabing bags from the back. 

Luka and I get out of the truck and see a nice little cabin surrounded by trees and bushes. We slowly make our way following Scarlett into the cabin, and when we get inside I see Mason starting a fire, and thank God because I am freezing. "What is this place Mason?" Luka asks fully awake. "This is where I will be staying until we kill that bastard and his leeches." He says and I am confused for a second but then I figure out who he is talking about. "Are you crazy Uncle Mason, three of us can't take on Aidan and all of his people, also what are you even doing here if Scarlett didn't find you." Luka says. "Well what do you want to do Luka, be on the run for the rest of your life, or just kill your self to end this stupid hiding game, and I am here because I came to help my niece and nephew who I thought died two years ago with my brother and sister in law." Mason said to him and it kind of hurt to think that Luka would ever want to kill himself.

"No, I don't want to do either but Scar and I are pretty much usless until a full moon, and the next one is next week. I'm pretty sure we need more time to come up with a plan to kill a 200 year old vampire." Luka explains and I am just sitting on a chair listening and watching them talk, and Scarlett looks like she is thinking hard about what to say. "Luke we need to do something, I like it here and I don't want to leave. I'm sure you don't want to either." Scarlett says with a nod toward me and Luka looks at me and he looks sad. 

"I don't want to leave. But I am really tiered and I am sure Anika is to so can we just talk more about this in the morning." He says. "Ya sure. I'll so you guys to a room. Come on." Mason says and starts to walk down the hall. He stops in front of a door then opens it. The is a bed and some chairs and an attched bathroom. "Get some sleep I have to take you guys back tomarrow morning, so no funny buisness."Mason says trying to be funny but I am not in a fun mood right now. "Thanks Mason, night." Luka says then Mason leaves closing the door. I go walk over and sit on the bed. Luka just looks at the floor and then says "I am so sorry you got draged into this." He just sounds so sad and guilty. I get up and go and hug him "It's not your fault. I'm fine." I say in his hear. "I'm more worried about you." I tell him and now he looks up at me. "I hate him. He has ruined my life in so many ways." He tells me. "Want to talk about it?" I ask him hoping he will actually talk to me about it. He takes my hand and leads me to the bed and I sit next to him urging him for me to talk to me. He takes a breath and then starts. "Well-"

After talking for about an half and hour he told me how his parents died and how he thought it was an accident until Aidan told him that he was the one who murdered them and tried to kill him and Scarlett in the process. Also about him and his sister being on the run from him for almost two years and how they were always switching school and loosing people they would get close to when he found them again. By the end of Luka talking he starts to actually cry and I just pull him into my arms saying things to try and calm him down and then about five minutes later he falls asleep so I lay him down and put his head on a pillow and curl up next to him. I just watch him and I feel bad for him, even though I don't have a great relationship with my parents I would hate if someone murdered them and I was all alone with only my sister. After a while I fall asleep next to Luka.

"Rise and shine love birds." I hear a voice say. "Go away Scarlett." I hear Luke say. 'It would be Scarlett' I say to myself. "No we have a long way to go to get back home. Now get your lazy asses out of bed." She say and I finally sit up. "What time is it?" I ask yawning and scratching my bed hair down. "10 a.m. We have about a two hour drive and I actually want to enjoy my Saturday because I have a lot of stuff to do on Sunday. So come on, I put some cloths there for both of you." With that she leaves the room. "Ugh. Your sister sucks." I laugh. "Ya I know, but we better get back I'm sure your sister and friend are worried." Luka says getting out of bed and starts to get ready. I quickly get changed in the cloths Scarlett brought for me. 

All of us get into Mason's truck and now Scarlett is in the passenger seat and Mason is in the drivers seat. Mason then starts to drive us back home, and I really want to be home right now, but what am I going to explain to my sister and friends.
