Ch. 12 Monday Madness Part 1

Annika POV

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

That is the one sound that I have been dreding. Hearing that sound means that its Monday and now I have to go to school and deal with Katherine. I normally know how to handle the bitch but I am so tiered I don't want to do anything.

I slowly pull myself out of bed and make my way to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and change into my cheer practice cloths. That is another thing I am not looking forward to doing. I don't want to spend an hour bossing around girls that never listen. Once I pull my hair up into a pony tail I go down stairs and see Laural eating breakfast.

"Morning Laural" I say to her.

"Hey, you ready to go?" She asks.

"Ya just let me get my stuff." I go and get my gym bag and backpack. I grab an apple and go out to my car with Laural behind me.

I pull up into the school and go to my normal parking spot. Laural rushes out of the car saying she had some where to be. I am still sitting in my car when something knocks on my window.

"Jesus! Luke, you scared me." I normally wouldn't have been scared but I am still a little paranoid from Friday. I get out of my car and he is still laughing at me so I hit him in the arm.

"Ouch." He says grabing his arm.

"O shut up that didn't hurt." I laugh.

"Ya I know." He says putting his arm around me and I lean into his arm.

"So how are you holding up?" He asks me and I sigh.

"I've been better, but I have gotten over it. I am just not looking forward to today." I explain.

"Why not?"

"Because I have to deal with Katherine, I have cheer practice, and I don't want to do either one." I say.

"You will be fine. Hey at least you get to stare at me the whole home room." He tells me with a stupid smile on his face.

"What makes you think I want to stare at you?" I joke.

"Because you think I'm gorgeous." He says and I laugh.

"Wow, cocky much."

"Maybe just a little."

Right then the bell rings. "UGH!" I groan.

"Suck it up miss grumpy pants." Luka tells me and I glare at him.

"I will shank you." I say and he just busts up laughing.

"I'd love to see you try." We just start walking into the school and go to our home room. Once inside the class we take our seats in the back.

We were just sitting there for a few minutes until I thought of something. I nudge Luke in the shoulder. "How did it go with Mason when you left my house?" I ask him and I see him hesitate.

"It was ok, he took us back to Scar and I's house, he came in and we talked." He briefly explains.

"What did you guys talk about?" I asked.

"We just talked about stuff that we missed out on because nobody knew we were alive." He tells me giving me a reasuring smile. I just nod my head and go back to writing something on paper.

I know that is not all they talked about, I have learned that when Luka gives short answers he's not telling you everything. O well, if he won't tell me I'll just ask Scarlett.

Ater home room I head down to the gym for cheer practice.

I know that this is super short but I will make the second part really long I PROMISE.
