Ch. 15 Blast from the Past

Luka's POV

Last night, during the full moon, I was just walking around the woods when I thought I heard Annika's voice. So I decided to follow it and sure enough she was there, but she wasn't a lone.

The woman with her was talking to her and I could hear every word and I could tell Annika was getting creeped out. When she turned her head the other way, and I saw the woman speed up to her I knew she was a vampire. She tried to bite Annika, and I didn't hesitate to lunge at her. I had her pinned to ground when I heard my name. Without thinking I turned around, but that wasn't a good thing because the next thing I know I am being thrown five feet in the air.

When I got back up I saw that Mason and Scarlett got here.

"Who are you!?" I heard Mason yell.

"That doesn't really concern you." She said "Ugh. and you dam mut ruined my jacket." She says pissed off. 'Well maybe you shouldn't wear such fancy cloths in the woods.' I think in my head.

"Do you work for Aidan?!" Mason asks her, and that is the only thing I want to know right now. The woman froze.

"Dam it." She said in a whisper and then sped away.

"Who the fuck was that?" I hear Annika say, and if I could respond I would say 'I have no clue, but I am going to find out.'

That is why I am back in the woods the next morning. I had to see if I could find this woman and find out what she wants. I came alone, and it took me forever to convince my sister and Annika not to come, but thankfully Mason said he needed her to stay so they could work on fighting. I never thought I would be greatful for that happening.

I got back to the spot where we were last night trying to see if I could pick up the woman's sent, and after a few minutes I found it and started to follow it.

I was walking for about ten minutes when I heard footsteps behind me.

"You know, I was hoping you would come back mut." She said as I turned around to face her.

"Ya well I needed to know why you tried to kill my girlfriend." I told her.

"Well that's easy. I was hungry. But if I knew she was dating the mut that Aidan is after I would have never tried to hurt her." She tells me and I was confused.

"What... Why? Aren't you working with Aidan? I ask her and she scoffs at me.

"O god no. I have been avoiding him for the past two years. I want nothing to do with him." She tells me and I don't know if I should believe her, but the look on her face tells me she isn't lying.

"Well then why did you run off yesterday instead of just saying that." I ask her

"Becuase when the hottie with the arrow brought up Aidan, I freaked. I didn't know how to react. I have avoided him perfectly for two years, only hearing the rumors of him chasing you and your sister down." She expains

"Who are you then, and how do you know about me and my sister." I ask her

"Every vampire and werewolf has heard the story of you and your sister, and after what happened last night, I decided to look into this town only to find out that the Summer twins are currently living here, and I thought to myself 'Of course the one town I stop at to get a bite to eat would be where the two muts and Aidan are." She explains and I still want to know more.

"So if you are trying to stay away from Aidan, why are you still here?"

"Well, I thought about it for awhile and then I thought 'What the hell' I'm going to help you kill the bastard." She tells me and I laugh.

"Ha Ya right.. Like I am going to except help from a leech. I will never trust your kind. Vampires have ruined my life." I tell her.

"Trust me Luke I know all about it. I know how Aidan killed your parents in the fire... Becuase.. I'm the whole reason he did it." She says and that just made my mind go blank and back to confused.

"What do you mean? Who the hell are you?" I ask getting really frustrated. She sighs.

"I'm pretty sure you have heard stories about me Luke. I'm Sutton... Sutton Waite." She tells me and I freeze. I don't know what to say so she just keeps talking. "Now I know your probably thinking 'I thought you died'. Well I didn't, your mother just knocked me out cold, and instead of waiting, Aidan decided to be an idiot and act on his impulses. When I came to I was still in the wherehouse surrounded by dead vampire bodies, but I couldn't find Aidan anywhere, so I went to go look for him. When I saw him, I saw him outside of a house. He didn't notice me so I started to walk towards him, but the next thing I know the house bursts into flames.

The next thing I hear is him laughing and I see his right hand man Jeff, walking up to him and I hear him tell Aidan how they dispossed the rest of the werewolf families involed in the ambush. Aidan thanked Jeff and I have never forgot the words Aidan said to himself he said "This was all for you Angel, I wanted to personally get rid of the family that took you away from me" Hearing him say that made me sick. The Aidan I knew and loved never did anything like that." She finishes and I don't know if I should be mad at her or what.

"Why didn't you go back to him." I asked her.

"Listen, Luka. I was human when I met Aidan, and god that was over onehundred years ago. I fell in love with the man, and he told me about him being a vampire. I was never scared of him, I just loved him more. So I told him I wanted him to turn me, he didn't want to at first because he said it wasn't the life he wanted for me, but I didn't care. So after I turned 21 he turned me.

Everything was perfect for a century, Aidan was sweet and actually had a heart, but when that ambushed happened and he killed families out of revenge I couldn't go back to that. That heartless person isn't my Aidan." She finishes telling me and I didn't talk for awhile, but I was pissed.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you" I say getting very close to her but she never backs away.

"Becuase you need my help." She says and I laugh. "You know I'm right Luka, you need more that you sister, captin America, and your girlfriend. You can trust me. I know all of Aidan's weaknesses and secrets. I can help you, becuase trust me I want him dead." She says actually almost begging to help.

"How do I know I can trust you?"

"For one, this whole time I have never tried to attack you once, and also I pretty much told you my whole past. Look you need to get over the fact that I am a vampire. I am willing to get over the fact that I would be working with two werewolfs. We both want the same thing so we need to work together on this." She says.

"Whats in it for you?" I ask her and I can't even believe I am considering letting her help, but everything she has said was true.

"Nothing, the only thing I want is to see Aidan's dead body on the ground and for you to let me leave without a fight when it's over." She tells me and I think it all over for a minute before I respond.

"Fine. But you do one thing, and I mean it, to screw up anything, or give me a reason to not trust you, you are dead." I tell her as seriously as I can.

"Then I believe we have a deal. Should we get started." She say extending her hand and I hesitently shake it

'I better not regret this' I think in my head.
