Ch. 11 Welcome Home

Annika POV

Mason dropped me off at my house about an hour ago and then took Luka and Scarlett back to their house. When I walked through the front door I noticed that Laural wasn't home. Silently thanking God I was alone I made my way up stairs and headed straight for my bathroom to take a nice hot long bath to relieve all my stress and tiered body.

I was still relaxing in my bathroom when I herd the front door open. "ANNIKA! ARE YOU HOME YET?!" I hear Laural yell and I decide to end my me time and get out.

"YA! I'M UPSTAIRS!" I yell right back at her. By the time she comes into my room I have on my robe and my hair still in my messy bun.

"Hey. Finally you are home. So how was your magical night Cinderella, did Prince Charming sweep you off your feet?" Laural asks me excitedly jumping on my bed.

"Ya. I had a great night."I lied. I wasn't about to tell my sister that I got kidnapped by vampires.

"Sooo... Does a 'great' night mean you finally lost it." She asks me with an evil smirk on her face.

"Laural! NO! O MY GOD!" I laugh throwing a pillow at her face.

"HEY! I was just curious, I mean you don't come home that night and the last time I saw you, you were leaving the gym with Luka, so what else am I supose to think." She tells me and all I am thinking of is a story to tell her so I don't tell her the truth. "So what happened?" She calmly asks.

"Well... We... We went back to his house and then we just talked the whole night.. and I fell asleep over there." I say calmly so she will believe me. Normally I am a good liar, but Laural always knows when I lie.

"Really? You just talked?" She asks me with a 'I don't believe you' look on her face.

"Yes Mom, you know people can just talk." I sarcastically say to her.

"Fine. I guess I'll buy your story. But when you do sleep with him I want to be the first person to know." She seriously tells me getting off my bed.

"Geez Laural, when did you become so pervy?" I laugh.

"I really have no clue, I think I'm spending to much time with Jessica." She jokes about to leave my room but then stops. "O ya mom and dad called this mornning, they said they won't be home for a few more days." She tells me and I can see she is sad about it. "And mom said they were sending over a package. Think its a new car?" She laughs.

"Keep dreaming Laural." I tell her then she leaves my room.

Luka POV

When Mason got to our house him, Scar, and I all got out of the truck and went inside. I walk in first then my sister then Mason. "Nice house you guys." Mason tells us.

"Thanks" Scar says.

"If you don't mind me asking how did you guys even get this place?" He asks cautiously. I'm not answering because I just want to get down to buisness, but Scarlett just has to talk.

"Well lets just say after doing this for two years me and Luke have learned how to live on our own." She says with a small smile.

"Ya. You know because we had the pleasure of having help from family members." I rudly say.

"Luke!" Scarlett snaps at me.

"What?! After two years, he now finally decides to find us and help!" I loudly say looking at Mason.

"I thought you two were dead Luka! I got a call in the middle of the night saying you need to come down to the police department because your brother and his family died in a fire, What else was I supose to think!" He yells and now I feel guilty, I didn't think about what the rest of my family member went through. Mason keeps talking. "I didn't even know you guys were alive until about two months ago." He says siting down on the couch.
