Ch. 16 Welcome to the Club

Annika's POV

Mason and I have just about finished our fighting lesson, with no help from Scarlett who just sits on the couch laughing at my crapy fighting skills.

"Scar! I get I suck at this, but I don't need a reminder every time I do something wrong. OK!" I snap at her and she just shuts her mouth and puts her head down.

"Sorry" She says quietly and I can still see a small smile on her face. I was about to say something else when the door opened and Luka walks through the door.

"Hey. Did you find anyt.." I stopped mid sentence when I noticed the women from last night walk in behind Luka.

"Luke, why did you bring the leech back?" Scarlett asks getting off the couch, now all serious, getting very close to the woman.

"Well hello to you to, mut. I'm Sutton." She says extending her hand out but Scarlett doesn't take it she just looks shocked.

"Aren't you supposed to be.."

"Dead. Ya everyone thinks that, but as you can see I am not, and I just finished telling your dear brother this story and I would be more than happy to tell all of you again." She nicely says and moves past everyone and walks near Mason.

"So we meet again Robin Hood." She says smiling at Mason, and I see him give her body a look over, then talks.

"Sit, explain." He says and she shighs.

"Fine. Everyone have a seat. It's story time." She says sitting in the middle of the couch. I sit next to Luka on the couch across from her and Scarlett sits in the love seat while Mason just stands.

When she is done explaining everything about her being Aidan's suposadly "dead" girlfriend and how she's avoided him because she no longer saw the man she loved, only a heartless killer. I can understand why she did it.. If I was her I would have avoided the asshole to.

After a moment of scilence Scarlett was the first one to talk.

"Are you guys seriously going to trust a leech. I mean come on Luke! She's a vampire! We never trust them!" She nearly yells at everyone getting out of the chair and starts pacing. Luka gets off the couch and walks over to his flustered sister.

"Scar, we don't have any other choice, we need more help. She knows things about Aidan that we don't she can help us." Luka calmly explains to her, but she is very reluctent to listen to his reasoning.

"And what makes you think she won't betray us. That she won't go running back into his arms the first time she sees him!" Scarlett yells in his face, and before Luka responds Sutton gets up and starts to talk.

"Listen here you dog, if I wanted to go back to Aidan I would have a long time ago. Also lets not forget that I am risking my own life by working with two werewolfs that could kill me, and going against my own kind to kill this bastard. So either you learn to trust me or just suck it up becuase I am not going anywhere." She finishes and even though she spoke calmly the intimidation in her voice scared the crap out of me, but I still have a felling she can be trusted.

"Fine. Just don't bother me more than necessary." Scarlett sighs sitting back down.

"Trust me sweet heart, I don't want to be around you anymore than you want to be around me." Sutton states going back over near Mason. "O and Annika, I am sorry about almost tearing your throat out." She says with a small smile.

"Ummm.. Its ok.. I guess." I say because I don't really know how to respond to that. "Well what do we do now?" I ask.

"Now we can start making a plan to end this for good." Luka says.

"Ok, but can we do this tomarrow. I am exahusted and I need to find a place to stay where no one will find me or else we are all in trouble." Sutton says and I see Scarlett roll her eyes.

"Well don't think your staying here." She says and I think she can't stay at my house becuase I don't really know how I would explain that to Laural.

"Please like I would want to stay here. I'm sorry but the closer I am to both of you the more danger I put myself in." She says which makes since due to the fact Aidan is after Luka and Scarlett. Then out of the blue Mason speaks up.

"She can stay at my place. Its deep in the woods she should be fine there." He says looking at Sutton.

"Now that idea I like. Lets go muscles." Sutton says very happy then grabs Mason's arm and drags him out of the house.

Scarlett, Luka, and I just look at eachother confused.

"Anybody else just find that wierd." I say and Luka shurgs and Scarlett rolls her eyes.
