Misty

I locked the door behind him in frustration, before running my cold hands through my hair and proceeding to tidy my hotel room. I cleared the still-full mugs and placed them on the veined silver tray, washing the remaining makeup from my face and tying my hair into a messy bun which probably would've come out by morning.

I slipped into my nightgown and threw my clothes onto a chair, still sighing to myself.

It was cold during this time, and the fire wasn't doing anything to help, so in my flustered state I decided to lay down, and reminisce over the nights' events.

I was clutching my book under the radiating warmth of the thick hotel's duvet, unable to get his face out of my head. His silky curls falling over his olive skin, it was perfection. His beautiful doe eyes that danced so beautifully with mine.

It's 12 o'clock at night

I should be sleeping

But instead I lie awake

Thinking of all the things

I could have said

And all the things

I might not ever be able to say.

His aura was passion and love, along with kindness, and that's how he secretly had me wrapped around his finger, though I think I was succeeding at letting him let me go.

Slowly, just thinking became exhausting, and I closed my eyes and allowed myself to drift into another world until the sun arose again, and I'd be grateful for that too.

I was awoken from my dream with stern knocks on the door, and I didn't other to look in the mirror before opening it, because I wasn't trying to impress anybody.

But I welcomed a chuffed-looking Estello, though as he saw me his face dropped.

"You look like death on two legs,"

"Gee, thanks," I said, rolling my eyes, "What do you want?"

"Meeting, get ready. And uh- take as long as you need to fix that," He said, pointing to my face.

I chuckled sarcastically as I closed the door, before turning on the shower and rubbing my eyes for a moment.

I let the water plummet down my back as I washed my hair, the heat of the water waking me up, giving me a burst of needed energy and enthusiasm.

I opened up my suitcase and gazed at my selection of clothes, remembering the word 'meeting' and deciding to dress classy.

I pulled my fitted beige dress over my head and adjusted the long sleeves, securing a gold watch on my wrist and a pendant necklace.

Exhaling for a final time, I decided to finally opened the door. Estello let out a sigh of relief, and I chuckled,

"Better?"

"Well, you don't look like death, so it's an improvement,"

"Oh shut up, won't you?"

He chuckled in response and began walking quickly down the stairs, his cigar resting between his teeth as he was counting money with both of his hands.

"So what's this meeting for?" I asked, skipping steps and landing beside Estello like a child,

"What's it for? I don't know exactly,"

"That's a great help. Who's it with?"

Estello stopped walking, then started again. It was out of the blue, not to catch his breath, "Accardo," He said quietly, like he was dreading a reaction from me.
