Roxy slammed her arms down on the bed you were sleeping in, scaring you awake. You jolted upright with a screech and reached out to grab whatever had just woken you from your precious six hours of death like sleep.

 "ROXY!"

Laughter erupted from the evil villain that is Roxy. You were only kidding, she's a great friend but excuse me, sleep is important! She slid out of the room to avoid you chasing her.

'What a great way to start the day.'

You glanced over to your alarm clock. It was still pretty early in the morning so you had plenty of time to make breakfast. You had a new pancake recipe you were dying to try. Let's just hope Roxy didn't already use the ingredients for another 'magic volcano.'

You stretched your arms above your head and let out a loud yawn, finally dragging yourself out from the warmth of your bed then walking to your kitchen like a zombie. The sheets slid along with you and you let out a groan of dissatisfaction as they fell to the floor, knowing you'd have to come back to actually make your bed later.

As you walked out of your room you spotted a familiar troll with a turtleneck on, sitting on your sofa. The sudden appearance of said troll made you squeak loudly in surprise. His attention was instantly caught and he almost jumped watching how fast you ran out of the room and slammed the bedroom door behind you.

Kankri sighed, he should've known he caught you at a bad hour. It was early in the morning and it was horrible timing, but he wanted to see you more than anything. He blushed at the thought that he caught you with bed hair and morning breath, astonished that you still managed to be beautiful. He finally decided it was time to check and see if you wanted him to leave after five minutes of nothing but silence in the dorm.

"(Y/N), are y9u alright?" He knocked quietly on the bedroom door. All you could hear was the low grumble of his voice, it soothed you.

 "Yep, I'm fine."

Walking over to your closet, you pulled an oversized (F/C) hoodie over your head. You considered just wearing it and the pyjama shorts you already had on, but decided against it, slipping black leggings on instead. Staring in the mirror in your room, you noticed how messy it was. With a quick swoop of a hairbrush, it was all fixed.

You recollected your composure, taking a deep breath and smiling at yourself in the mirror.

 "You got this (Y/N)."

You didn't have this, but whatever you're going to fake it until you make it and that means making breakfast for Kankri and your sleep drunk friend Roxy who probably watched rom coms and cried into a tub of ice cream all night just for the sake of having her cliché sad moment despite there being nothing to be sad about.

"Anyone up for pancakes?" You smiled. Roxy was sitting on a counter, but as soon as she spotted you she wiggled her eyebrows and slid away to leave you and Kankri alone.

You cursed her mentally, you really didn't want to be alone with him right now. For some reason you just felt nervous around him. You always did, sure, but now more than ever. Still, you walked into the kitchen, putting the ingredients that were luckily still there out on the bench. All but one. The flour.

You had to admit, you were kinda short. You were shorter than Kankri, who was already considered pretty short and the flour just happened to be up higher than you could reach. You stepped up on your tippy toes, still attempting to reach it and failing. Kankri who was leaning against a counter in the kitchen quickly jumped in to help. He whispered a possible physical contact trigger warning to avoid surprising you again like he did with his sudden appearance before hand.
