What are the Chances? Kankri x Reader ~Completed~

-Part 11-

 After a surprisingly great night's sleep, it was time for you to head back to your dorm. You, Roxy, Jake and Dirk were all headed in the same direction (of course), so you dropped into a café along the way for coffee. Pretty much everyone was tired except for you, that's probably because you had the luxury of falling asleep on top of Kankri again.

 It didn't come as much of a surprise for you this time, waking up in Kankri's arms. He was still warm like he was the first time, arms wrapped loosely around you, your face pressed into his clothed chest and his chin resting on top of your head of messy hair.

 "We ended up playing would you rather while the rest of you slept," Jake admitted, snapping you out of your thoughts. You noticed now that before he spoke you were staring at your feet, at the same boots Kanaya had given you for your Christmas outfit, in fact you had left that house in your Christmas outfits because that was the most tame dare Rufioh could think of last night. You really appreciated the warmth the fur rim gave you, but you really didn't appreciate the discomfort walking around in heels brought. You really, really couldn't wait to get home and rip them off of your feet, though you'd try to be careful with them considering how much work Kanaya put into them. You're actually surprised she isn't a millionaire famous designer by now, they're amazing. "It was boring seeing as it was only Dirk, Meulin and I still awake."

 "You should've woke me up," Roxy wined, slipping her bottom lip, covered in peachy pink lip gloss out into a pout before blowing into her coffee and taking a sip, doing some kind of strange manoeuvre with her lips to avoid loosing all the lip gloss, "we all know how much fun I am, I could've made the game less boring."

 "Roxy let's be honest, you'd wake everyone in the house up."

 Roxy opened her mouth to retaliate, eyes trailing off the table and over to you. She tilted her head to the side a little as if to say 'fair enough,' the bells on her elf hat ringing as they swung before closing her lips around her mug and taking another sip. Dirk crunched down on a candy cane beside you, letting out a snort at Roxy's gesture between loud, irritating crunches. 

 You laughed as well, taking a sip of your own drink and staring down at the numbers displaying the time on your phone. Your parents house wasn't too far away from campus but you knew with your friends, a ten minute walk could easily become an hour activity. The earlier you get back to your dorm the better. 

 "Hey guys I'm really sorry to cut coffee short but Roxy and I really have to go now," you turned to your roommate who sighed and walked over to the counter at the front of the room. You eyed her curiously when she returned with a take away cup and a plastic lid, somehow managing not to make any mess with the pale brown liquid as she tipped her mug up, pouring it's contents into the takeaway cardboard cup. She messed with the lid for a moment, trying to make sure it was on properly so it wouldn't spill all over her green dress, bells still jiggling every time she moved. The sound was beginning to drive you crazy. The group of you were getting strange looks all around and so many kids wanted to take photos with you, you would probably end up having to find a different exit just to avoid the kids and the stares. "Uh, okay."

 Dirk and Jake waved to the both of you, watching as bright red and bright green skirts swished dramatically as you walked away. The two of them were dressed just as dramatically as you, giant Reindeer horns glued to headbands, poking through holes in reindeer pyjamas. The kids were more interested in you and Roxy however, you kept thinking about how many bad photos of you were out in the world now. You couldn't help but feel self conscious, a chill running up your spine noticing stares on your bare shoulders, tugging at the fur on the bottom of your dress, readjusting the huge brown belt and meddling with the red velvety gloves. "Is your dress making you really uncomfortable?"
