Time was flying by faster than ever. There are only two more days until you leave to go to your parents house for Christmas now. You pestered Kankri for at least an hour and he decided to invite you, Roxy, Jake and Dirk to the trolls Christmas eve-eve party. In a rush, you'd finished packing before Porrim texted you to ask if she could drop by.

Porrim came by your dorm to get measurements. For some reason she insisted on making both you and Roxy Christmas outfits. Most people were coming in ugly Christmas sweaters but as the night went on everyone would eventually change into fancier outfits. You felt bad for accepting seeing as Porrim already had her work cut out for her but she insisted and you couldn't say no to the puppy eyes she kept giving you.

"Ro+xy please, ho+ld still," Porrim's lower lip was tucked under her top teeth, eyebrows furrowed and eyes set on the tape around Roxy's waist. She was trying so hard to concentrate but Roxy kept laughing at the feeling of the cold metal on the end of the fabric measuring tape. You stepped in and held Roxy still.

 "Alright, thank yo+u."

"No thank you, you really didn't have to do this for us Porrim."

Porrim let out a laugh. Her eyes met yours, the pen that was previously in her hand dangling out of her mouth, held between two sharp teeth as she tried to tighten the fabric measuring tape around Roxy's waist.

You hummed, staring down at your feet and then back up, eyes meeting your own in the mirror. Roxy and Porrim's voices became background noise as they chattered.

This year has been wild, taken so much out of you yet gave you so much. You couldn't help but smile as butterflies fluttered in your stomach thinking about when you first met Kankri up until now when you'd be spending the night before Christmas eve with him. You thought about how warm his arms were when you woke up lying in them.

"Do+n't thank me," Porrim loosened the tape at last, staring down at the sheet of paper with the measurements written on them before packing away the last of her stuff. Your eyes snapped back up, zoning back into the conversation now. "I've go+t no+thing better to+ do+."

You nodded and jumped down off of the desk you had decided to sit down on after Roxy regained her composure, helping Porrim by placing everything she had to pull out to find the measuring tape back into her bag, Porrim waiting patiently and zipping it up after you placed the last item back into the bag.

 "I'll say hello+ to+ Kankri fo+r yo+u."

Roxy raised an eyebrow at you again and grabbed a gummy bear from the packet on the bed that had been sitting there for the past few hours untouched. She pulled the head off of one gummy bear then off of another, sticking the head onto the headless one and eating the body that was left over. You raised an eyebrow back at her at her strange Frankenstein's monster creation. Porrim only stared at the packet when you pulled them out so you just left them there, Roxy must have taken interest in them now.

 "Wanna watch a Christmas movie?"

You pulled the perfectly knitted ugly Christmas sweater Porrim had made for you over your head. You couldn't help but laugh at the cheesy art of Kankri as Santa sewn on the front. The sweater fit like a glove, surprisingly warm and comfortable. You could probably sleep in this. You took a deep breath and at last headed out.

  "Ready to go Roxy?"

"I'm always ready," Roxy walked out of the bedroom and did a spin in front of you to show you her sweater. It had a picture of reindeer dancing like people knitted into it.
