  "GOOOOOOOD MORNING (Y/N!)"

You jolted upright as a familiar voice filled the air, except this time you weren't woken by your pink haired roommate, it was someone much more unexpected. You were so tired you didn't even remember her name for a moment there.

 "Jane..?"

Jane sighed and grabbed at your arm, hand locking around your wrist and began to pull you from the warmth and comfort of your bed. Your blankets slid off of your body as you were slowly pulled from your bed, much to your dismay as you reached out and grabbed your blanket, unsure of what you thought you would achieve but hoping it would save you from your captor dragging you out of bed.

 "Jane noooooo," you whined.

"Cmon (Y/N), it's Christmas morning," she whined back.

"Yes, yes it is," Jane relentlessly tugged at your arm, now managing to pull you half off of your bed, your blankets still stubbornly wrapped around your body as you sunk out of bed. "And for Christmas, I would like to sleep in."

"But presents!"

"Jane... how old are you?" You raised an eyebrow, "And haven't we already done enough presents?"

Jane's glasses shimmered in the light beaming through your window, despite the curtains being there to partially block it. It obviously wasn't too early in the morning. At least for Jane. You on the other hand had plans to sleep in until lunch, slowly walk downstairs, get food or at least hope there was left over food from the breakfast your parents had and then open the presents. Jane and John were invited over by your parents though of course, so now your plan was ruined by Jane's impatience. Jane stopped tugging at your arm and gave you big blue puppy eyes. You only sighed through your nose.

"Jane, why aren't you with your family?"

"We already did presents," she sighed, "Plus John is off with his friends again and your parents invited me so I thought, 'why not,' y'know"?"

"It's," you glanced over at your old digital alarm clock. "Eight in the morning."

"Yeah, we're early birds, we did presents at six."

 "Jane..."

Jane gave up on the conversation and now completely dragged you out of your bed. With a thump you hit the floor, directing your now irritated gaze at the blue eyed girl. Your blankets had come with you, leaving your bed naked and sad looking. You felt the sudden urge to slunk back in there again.

"Whoops, sorry," Jane offered you her hand and pulled you up. "Cmon!"

"Fine."
--------Timeskip brought to you by food, because we all love it---------------

The shimmering tinsel, bright fairy lights and shining baubles hanging from the branches of your small but beautiful Christmas tree, lit up the living room. With the comfort of a faux fur rug underneath you, and a warm sweater to keep you warm, you began to unwrap the gifts from under the tree. Jane always seemed more childish at this time of year, she seemed to really enjoy Christmas, but then again it was a lot of people's favourite holiday. She watched giddily as you tore at the wrapping paper that she had wrapped her gift to you in. You unwrapped it agonisingly slowly just to mess with her.

Inside the box was a beautiful knitted scarf in your favourite colour, a tin with a cake she had made inside of it and a random humour book she had bought at the bookstore. You laughed at the pun written on the cover of the book, before placing it down beside the other items and wrapping Jane in a warm Christmas hug.

You were looking forward to eating her cake the most if you're honest, her baking and cooking is always amazing. If you didn't know any better, you'd probably eat it all tonight without sharing any with Roxy. But she knows how much of a legend Jane is too, so you'd have to make sure to leave her some. She'd never let you live it down.

At last, Jane eagerly grabbed the gift you had bought her, wasting no time on the blue wrapping paper you had wrapped it in, and immediately making it to the cooking supplies you had bought her.

"Now, I know I'm a terrible person, but I couldn't think of anything else to get you," you smiled. You couldn't help but feel bad. She probably had cooking supplies to last a lifetime and not just hers but her children and their children and then their children's lifetimes. You just couldn't think of anything else to get her aside from the blue ribbon sitting beside it and a pair of bright blue feather earrings she was eyeing off in a shop the two of you went to to grab emergency supplies yesterday. Surprisingly the stores were still open, but only the 7/11.

Of course heading to the 7/11 means you got distracted by the donuts and slushies and ended up coming out not only with the eggs and bread but with two giant slushies with a little bit of every flavour mixed in and a box of twelve Christmas themed donuts you'd then proceeded to share and eat half the box of last night before you slid inside and started talking to Kankri. You'll have to bring some of those donuts back for Roxy too. You found yourself wondering how she was doing, she was heading back today after she finished her celebration with Rose.

 "No, it's perfect! Thank you!"

----timeskip brought to you by unoriginal author is unoriginal (and hungry ;-;)----------------------------------

Before long, it was time for you to head back to campus. You still had some of winter break left, and you planned to spend the rest of that time with Kankri. Maybe you'd occasionally spend some time with Roxy or the other trolls, but your entire body ached to see Kankri. The two of you had already planned a bunch of random meetings and different things to do together to kill time before break is over.

You sighed as you lifted your suitcase into the back of your car and closed the door behind you. Buckling it in with the seatbelt now that it had precious gifts, donuts and cake in there that needed to be protected at all costs. Stepping away from the car, you enveloped both your parents in a hug.

 "Thanks for everything."

"Thanks for coming sweetie." Your mother replied.

You smiled into the fabric of her sweater before turning around and opening the driver's side door. Right before you could hop in however, a small ball of white fur came running for you, licking you uncontrollably.

 "Oh gosh, Winter!" You giggled

"Do you want to take Winter with you?" Your dad scratched behind the small dog's ears as he spoke.

"Don't you guys want to keep her?"

"Just bring her back for Christmas, she is your dog really after all," your mother sighed, giving one last kiss to the top of the dog's head.

 "Will do."

You opened the passenger side door and buckled Winter in. She seemed to like the car already, and settled straight down much to your surprise. She was so small compared to the size of the seat, you couldn't help but laugh as you settled into the drivers seat, buckled the seatbelt, closed the door and yelled "Thanks again! Love you guys!" out the window as you backed out of the driveway.

You found yourself wondering how the cat that had miraculously ended up in your dorm would handle being around Winter. You figured the best idea would be to let her chill in your room and try to get Roxy to keep the cat with her. You shook your head remembering how you weren't even supposed to have pets in the dorms.

"I'm really hoping they don't catch us and make me bring you back here," Winter yipped at that.

Back to the dorm we go.
