I woke up, my alarm blaring in my face, signaling that it was time for school. My body was sore, my muscles ached. Groaning slightly, I got up out of bed, and grabbed a basic white v-neck, and a pair of dark blue jeans for when I get out of the shower. I walked slowly, stripping out of my jammies on my way to the bathroom, gasping at my reflection. My hair was in a huge knot, my stomach was black and blue, I had cuts on my arms and legs. I was a total mess. I inhaled, then exhaled. I really need to learn to protect myself. I stepped into the warm shower, enjoying the water droplets pelting my skin. I closed my eyes and hummed a quiet tune, scrubbing my hair and body clean. I really need to talk to Drake about what I really saw, what really happened. I felt fear closing in around me, suffocating me. What if everyone I knew is some sort of wolf-man, a werewolf. I gasped, my hand flying up to cover my mouth. What if there was something going on no one even knew about. A foreign world that only a few people have access to. I shivered, shutting the water off and jumped out, grabbing my towel. I dried my body, pulled on my undergarments, and put on my shirt wincing slightly as it brushed my wound. I wrapped the towel up in my hair before setting out with my basic makeup routine: mascara and eyeliner. My emerald color eyes were dull and had a lifeless look to them. I unwrapped my hair from the towel, letting it hang in loose, wet tendrils. I quickly brushed through my hair, yanking though all the knots I had in record time.

Shutting off the light, I exited the bathroom and ran to my room. I pulled on my pants, grabbed my black Toms, and a hoodie to keep me warm from the winter chill. A glance at the clock told me that Claire will be here any minute, so I tossed an apple into my bag and snagged a water from my fridge. I heard a honk from outside.

"Bye Mom! See you later!" I shouted before hurrying out the door to meet Claire. I ran down the driveway, giving Claire a small wave. She smiled and gave me a wave back before I opened up the car door and plopped into her car. She put the car in drive and off we went.

I was too tired to talk, so I shut my eyes and leaned back against the leather seats. I could feel Claire looking at me, so i turned my head and popped an eye open.

" What?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, its just that you look like shit. What happened to you over the weekend?" She responded. I grimaced before sighing. Too much happened, that's what.

"Nothing, I just went to work. I've had a long weekend. That's all, okay?" I answered. Claire shook her head and mouthed 'whatever' before turning onto Tropicana. The day just started and I already want it to be over.  We arrived to school about ten minutes before the bell had to ring. I shot a peace sign off to Claire pitching my bag onto my shoulder and walked to the school. It was pretty chilly today so I pulled my hoodie a bit closer to my neck, and made my way through the crowd of people. I was walking past the front office when the door swung open and hit me in the head, knocking me to the ground.

"Ouch!" I yelped in surprise.

"Sorry about that, here let me help you up." A deep voice responded. Hmm, that voice sounds familiar, but there's no way he could be here, could he? I squinted my eyes and looked up, holding a hand out to block the sun. I gasped.

"Drake?" He looked a bit startled that the girl he just knocked down knew his name. I watched curiously, waiting to see if he remembered what happened last night. His ever changing eyes were now a bright forest green, and remained that way until they turned a deep ocean blue. Realization hit him hard as he looked at me. He turned and walked away.

"No!" I screamed out. Some kids gave me a strange look. "Drake don't go! I really need to talk to you." I ran after him, dodging incoming students. I finally caught up to him while he was walking up the ramp. "Please, please will you talk to me?"

He looked around to see if anyone was watching him before he focused his eyes on me. They changed yet again to a deep violet color before going to a pitch black. "Fine." He growled, taking me by surprise. "Meet me here for lunch okay?"

I didn't even get to respond before he turned and walked off. What was that about? I groaned internally. Why does he have to be so rude all the time? The first bell rang. signaling the start of hell. My first period was publications, better known as yearbook. I turned and headed down the halls, making it to class just as the bell rang.

"Ash, I need you to work up templates for the upcoming spring sports. Can you handle that?"  Mr. Henry asked. Since I'm the head editor, I have to do everything. I just nodded my head, letting him know id get it done in the next couple of days. I logged into my computer and pulled up Spotify. I typed in Breathe Carolina and hit the shuffle button to play the music. I then logged into the yearbook site and set the work. Soon enough, the bell for second period rang. I have student aides this period, so I sat around doodling a cute pikachu until the bell rang for 3rd period, English. English is my favorite subject and class so I was actually looking forward to it. I had AP English, which is higher than your usual English classes.

I sat down in my seat and grabbed my bag, pulling out my notebook and a pencil. The teacher, Mr. Lam was in the middle of explaining tips on how to write a better persuasive essay when he was interrupted by a new student.

"Hey sorry  I'm late, I got lost." The voice sent shivers up my spine.

"Well just make sure it never happens again, you hear me?" Mr. Lam grumbled. "Go and take a seat anywhere you'd like."

"Yes sir and thank you, i will." I looked up and realized that voice belonged to the other guy I met at the movies. He was looking around when his eyes met mine. He gave a small smile and made his way over to me, taking the seat to my right.

"I remember you." He whispered. "I'm Rixon, nice to meet you Ash." I was shocked, how did he even know my name? I shook my head. Drake must've told him something.

"Hello Rixon." His eyes flashed a bright yellow before smiling back at me. I focused on taking notes when I felt him touch my hair.  I looked back over at him but he just smirked. I rolled my eyes and continued on my notes. Finally the bell rang. I packed my stuff up, and turned to tell Rixon bye, but he was already gone. Whatever, I srugged my shoulders and made my way up the stairs to Physics. Luckly we had a sub and just watched a movie about Atoms. The bell rang signaling lunch time. Finally! I'll get all the answers I need from Drake.

I rushed out of the room and made my way towards the ramp. "Excuse me." I said while pushing my way through the crowed of students. I made it to the spot where Drake told me to meet him and waited. I watched as the courtyard emptied and sighed. My stoumach growled. No where to be found, typical Drake. I grabbed my bag and turned around right into something hard.

"Why am I always running into things." I opened my eyes and they were met with an unatural grey. "Drake!" I yellped in surprise. He cracked me a small smile, and I felt a weird feeling in my tummy. I took this time to study his appearance. He was wearing dark jeans, and a black v-neck. His brown hair had that windblown look to it, giving him this dark look.

He leaned against the rail next to me, his arm brushing mine. I felt a small shiver work its way through my body.  His grey-blue eyes met mine.

"Are you sure you really want to know what happened?" He questioned me.  "It's really going to change the way you think."

I nodded my head and prepared for the worst.
