"Okay, how do I put this.." His voice trailed off.
"Okay." I said, interrupting him. "Just tell me this, what I experienced last night, was it real?" I held my breath waiting for an answer. I felt like I was going crazy. My mind constantly replaying the scene in my head.
"Yes." That one word turned my whole world upside down. Werewolves really do exist. "You see, Ash, there is a world within a world." His voice sounding cautious. He glanced at me, his eyes changing to a honey-brown color. Normal peoples eyes don't just change color. I jumped up, realization struck me. I stepped away, horrified that Drake is one of those.. those shapeshifters.
"What..." My voice was hoarse. "What exactly are you?" Something flashed through his eyes but disappeared before I could read it. His eyes darkened until they became a pitch-black. I froze, my heart skipping a beat. He shot me a sinister smile.
"You see Ash, I'm the most dangerous of them all. I'm the most feared through-out this hidden kingdom." He grabbed me and pushed me into the wall. "You don't ever want to find out what I am, because if you see my true form, I'll have to kill you." The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. Drake let go of me, shooting me a glare before walking off. I leaned against the wall, releasing the breath that had caught in my throat. People walked passed me, shooting me strange looks due to the fact that i probably looked like a fish out of the water. I grimaced, grabbing my things and continuing onto my next class, guitar.
I arrived right when the tardy bell rang. Mr. Fitz glanced at me and then started a lecture about the the notes on the B string. I zoned out, until someone called my name.
"Ash. Can you tell me what the basic notes of the B string are?" Mr. Fitz glared.
"Yeah, they're B, C, & D." He glanced at me and then continued with the lesson. I got lost in my thoughts about transforming men and women when the final bell rang. Finally the day was over. I got up and made my way out the door into the sea of people. I stopped by my locker to deposit some of my things and continued onward. I glanced up at the ominous sky, a shiver worked its way up my back. I pulled my jacket closer, my breaths coming out in unsteady puffs. I put my head-phones in, turned up my music, and started on my journey home. Why cant Drake just tell me the truth about everything? It'd make everything a bit more easier to take in. I wonder what he is.. What if he really will kill me if I find out? Why does my whole world have to be suddenly thrust underwater. I felt the feeling of being watched, and took an ear-bud out, Panic! At the Disco faded away.
"Hello?" I called out into the silence. It was too quiet, but there were no movements, my voice echoing off the concrete. I shrugged my shoulders and put my earphone back in when suddenly a hand covered my mouth and I felt myself being dragged away.
"Let me go!" I tried to plea, kicking and throwing my self around.
"Ash! Its me Rixon. Stop struggling!" The voice sending tingles up my spine. I froze. He kept his hold on me until we reached an alley way opening. He pushed me in and blocked the escape.
'What do you want from me?" I ask him wearily. He grinned, his eyes changing to a bright gold color. I gasped.
"You're.. you're a shifter too?" I backed up. His eyes flashed with anger and he took a step closer.
"What exactly did Drake tell you?" He growled. My breath hitched in my throat. To say I was terrified was an understatement. "Alright, since you wont tell me, I guess ill have to eat you, human." He took a step back and gave me a weird smile, before he started to change his shape. I watched in horror as wings popped out of his back and his body grew huge. His arms grew to the size of a small car and claws replaced his fingernails. His neck stretched and curved, his head growing large horns. There was a sick pop and I closed my eyes. There was the soft clicking of claws as they hit the ground. A strange hiss and a slight growl made me open my eyes. I nearly fainted at what I saw.
What stood in front of me was a large blue dragon who stood 3 stories tall. His horns were a bright white and his scales glimmered in the sun. The dragon's eyes were a bright gold color.
"Rixon?" My voice squeaked.
