The dragon lowered his head until it was about eye level with me. Smoke came flowing out of his nostrils. A low rumble tumbled out of his mouth. Oh my god, I am going to die. I backed up into the cold wall. 

"Please don't eat me." I whispered. I  closed my eyes waiting to be devoured whole. 

  You're really cute when you're scared. A deep growl resonated in my head.

"Can you read my thoughts?" 

Its not that I can read them, but the only way for me to communicate with you is through your mind. Rixon took a step forward and the ground rumbled underneath him. Now listen closely to me Ash. I'm going to transform back and you are going to get into my car without any problems. If there is a problem, or you try to run, you will be punished. He growled to illustrate his point.

I nodded, not trusting my voice. There was a small pop and then total silence. 

"Okay. Let's go." Rixon said, grabbing my arm and hauling me out onto the street. He tugged me along until we came to a black charger with blue dragons on the side. Blue dragons? Why does this look familiar? I shook my head, now is not the time to think about pointless things, baka.

"Get in the car." He whispered angrily. "I don't have time to waste on you." 

"Oh really? Then why are you forcing me to get into your car? I don't have time to waste on you either dragon boy." His eyes darkened to black. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair, clenching and un-clenching his jaw. Rixon would actually be pretty cute, If he wasn't so damn demanding. 

"Just get into the fucking car." I groaned and opened the car door, jumping into the passenger seat. Rixon jogged around the side of the car, glancing back in horror. He shut the door, and started the car. Its that look of horror that had shaking in my seat.

"Rixon is something wrong?" I asked quietly. He shook his head and stepped on the gas pedal, lurching right out into the street. I glanced back to see a person standing in the road, raising his fist to the sky. I turned around. Who was that? 

Rixon was taking the freeway out to the mountains, hurtling down the road going about 100mph. 

"Rixon! Can you please slow down? I'm just a regular human, not a dragon-boy like you." I grumbled.

"Do you want to die? Because if so, I'll slow down. The only reason I'm going so fast is so HE doesn't catch us. And besides, I may be a total douchbag, but I'd never let a girl die when she's with me." I blushed, turrning away from him and looking out my window. I was watching the trees fly by, when I realized I saw something in the sky. 

There was a loud ear piercing roar that shook the entire car. "Shit!" Rixon yelled, slamming the gas pead down. I turned and looked at him horrified. 

"What was that?" I whispered, almost too scared to hear the answer. 

"A very angry prince."

What was that supposed to mean? Rixon swerved the car, causing me to fly out of the seat. There was a loud thud and in front of us landed a huge black dragon. I gasped in awe, completely mesmerized by the site. The dragon was as dark as the night sky, its scales gleaming in the sunlight. Its wings spread wide, as if it was ready to launch to the sky. But the most beautiful part of the dragon, was its eyes. They were an electric violet color. The color of a bright flash of lightning in a stormy sky. The dragon took a step, throwing its huge head in the air and letting out a thunderous roar. I covered my ears, but even that wasn't going to help.

Rixon looked upset, deflated, like he just lost a game. He turned towards me, sorrow reflecting in his liquid-gold eyes. "I'm so sorry. I thought I couldve saved you from this, but I was wrong. Please forgive me. I'll try to keep you safe for as long as I can. When you see an opportunity, take my car and drive as far and as fast as you can go."

"Wait! I don't even under_" RIxon leaned over and kissed my cheek. The dragon outside roared. He gave me a slight smile.

"Be safe."

"Rixon!" I tried to yell but it was too late. He was out the door and standing in front of the car. I watched on, unsure of what to do. Rixon let out a loud growl, before transforming into his dragon form. His dragon form was much smaller than the black one. The black one growled, as if asking Rixon if he wanted to go down this path. Rixon just roared, flipping open his wings and with a loud whoosh, took to the skies above me. The black dragon roared, and flapped launching its huge body into the air, leaving a mini tornado in its wake. I unlocked the door and stepped out of the car, running around to the drivers side while looking up at the sky. If somebody would've told me i'd be watching dragons fight, I would've labeled them as crazy. I watched as the black dragon dove for Rixon, wrapping its jaws around his neck. 

"Rixon!" I shouted. I felt so helpless being stuck to the ground. I closed my eyes and prayed that nothing happened to him. I turned and jumped into the drivers seat, closing the door behind me. I looked around before turning the car on. It rumbled to life underneath me. 

"Okay think..." I told myself. " I've driven only a couple times in life, I can so do this. I mean its not like I'm going to be eaten by a dragon." I threw the transmission into reverse and stepped on the accelerator just in time as Rixon crashed into the ground. His dragon form covered in huge bloody claw wounds. Tears prickled in my eyes. I stopped the car and got out, running to Rixon's lifeless form.

"Rixon!" I cried out, collapsing  on the ground next to him. The black dragon let out a triumphant roar. I wrapped my arms around Rixon, getting covered in dragon blood. "Thank you for trying to protect me." I felt a presence behind me. I turned my head, coming face to face with the deadly black dragon. Its eyes still that captivating violet hue.

"You did this." I whispered. "You did this to Rixon!" I got up and stuck my arms out. "You cant have Rixon, I wont allow you to hurt him anymore." The dragon looked shocked, like he wasn't used to being stood up to.

You're a human, what do you expect to do to me? Hm?

"Not much honestly." I admitted. "But I do know that I'll do anything in my power to protect Rixon because I like him." The dragon threw his head back and roared. It stepped forward, until its talon was inches from me.

You, you like that puny little weakling more than me? Black flames came shooting out of its mouth. Its eyes now a terrifying black. I stepped back, fear consuming my body.

I'll show you who's the best. You wont like that weakling much longer if he's dead, will you now? The dragon lunged for Rixon, causing me to release an ear piercing scream.

"Rixon!"

Hey guys! I finally updated! Im so sorry for the long update, I have been so busy with college and trying to find a job, I honesltly had no time for myself. I plan to start updating weekly or as I can. Do any of you watch anime? If so have any of you watched Sword Art Online 2? ITS SO GOOD.
