Chapter 5: Going Out

Nadine's pov

"So," my dad spoke up. We were having breakfast. "What will you two do today?" My dad looked at me then at Logan.

Logan immediately turned to me, a sign that she wanted me to answer. I swallowed before spoke a word. "I, uh, actually will go see one of my friends here," i swallowed again, knowing that wasn't what i was supposed to say, but instead i let it out. What have been on my mind? Meeting this Brandon guy today? Hanging out with him? I must have been out of my mind. He is technically a stranger. But he's also my idol. My celeb crush, if its possible to call him so. Id trade anything for today. But still, he's a stranger and i barely know him. He could do something bad to me.

I shook my thoughts off.

I could feel a cold stare on me. And that, obviously, belonged to Logan. I heard she almost choked on her food. I had to bite the inside of my mouth to restrain myself from laughing.

When i turned to her, she looked a bit shocked. Probably because of what i was saying wasn't exactly like what she expected.

"Which friend?" My mom furrowed her brows.

I had to think hard to find a possible answer. "Just an old friend."

"Oh." Was all she could say.

"Aren't you supposed to get ready?" Logan asked. She had to stop putting on her lipstick.

"After you." I simply answered. I was leaning against the doorway, watching every single thing she did.

"I can't believe mom and dad wanted us to go to the bird park," she rambled. She's now done with her make up. She walked out of the restroom with me tailing behind her.

I chuckled. "Isn't that fun?"

"If i was 5 then yes that sure is," she scoffed.

"Cheer up, little sis,"

"Can i just go with you?" She asked.

"Sadly no."

Im sorry, Logan.

She pouted. "You are my life saver but sometimes could be an absolute heartbreaker."

I just shook my head and laughed. "What can i do to fix that pout?" My hand tried to reach her lips but she tilted her head away.

"Pizza sounds good to me," she grinned as wide as ever.

Just then we heard the bell rang.

"That must be mom and dad. Come on, don't make them wait." I told her.

"Does that mean you said yes?" She was trying to shoot me with her puppy eyes.

"Just go," i turned her around and pushed her by her shoulders towards the door.

I opened the door for her. We found mom and dad stood there with a smile. Logan kissed my cheek before stepping out. I stepped out as well to give my mom and dad a kiss on their cheeks. "Have fun," i told them, a smile never left my face.

"You too, honey," my mom and dad said in unison.

I watched them leave till they took a turn down the hallway.

I then went back to my room and started getting ready.

I decided to put on a spaghetti strap navy blue dress that stopped right above my knees and a denim jacket over it, and also my white converse. I rolled up my hair into a half bun. I didn't forget to put on any accessories like choker and some rings.

I applied my make up, not too much but not too light, just enough to cover up my freckles.

In less than a half hour then i was ready to go.

I could see a familiar figure was standing, looking down on his phone. I walked closer to him as unnoticeable as i could, wanting to startle him. But i didn't think i can. He already looked up even before i reached him, his face lit up realizing my presence.

"Its not even 9am but you're already here," i stated as i smiled.

"I hate making someone else wait. And in this case its you," he smiled back.

I just shook my head. "You're acting extra, mr. Flynn."

"So where to first?" He asked.

A grin has instantly plastered on my face. "I just know a prefect place to go."

"Really?" He beamed at me.

"Yeah. Just stick with me." I told him.

Its another short chapter i guess! Sorry i havent been updating for days but college is really time consuming so, im sorry. Hopefully i will do another update this friday or probably saturday. I need to update soon for my own sake lol. Just bear with me! Dont forget to vote or comment!
