Chapter 19: There's Nothing Holding Me Back

Brandon's pov

If anywhere i go with Nadine is always a good place, then this time, it was far from it.

Nadine had brought us to a club. It was unpredictable that Nadine would take us to a club.

But that's Nadine. And nothing with her is ever simple.

And i have learned that she's full of surprises.

Since the day we hang out for the first time, i knew she wasn't like any other girl. She was reckless, sassy and sarcastic.

Underneath her perfectly divine and effortlessly beautiful feature, laid a very intelligent mind and a humorous soul.

She's careless, brave and challenging.

She's the life of the party.

She pushed me off my limits. She made me do crazy things that i never thought i was capable of doing so. She took all my inhibitions.

When im with her, im completely under her spell. I was blinded by her charm. I was paralyzed everytime she had her skin on mine. My mind clouded with the urge to pull her closer whenever she touched me. This girl sure had so much power over me.

I need to let this girl know that i like her.

There's nothing holding me back.

"Try this." Nadine's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

Nadine had shoved my glasses away, replacing them with one of her shots.

Shawn Mendes' song faintly lingered in my ear as i tried to react.

I glanced at her questioningly as i steadily shook my head. "No."

"Oh come on, Brandon." One more time she whimpered, i swear to god my guard will be down.

But instead, i gave her a serious look. "Nads, please. Don't make me choose you over our safety."

"We can take the cab. Choose me." She challenged me.

When i looked into her eyes, she had already peered her captivating blue eyes on me. She was studying my face, hoping that i'd finally give in to her words. Was it possible to faint from seeing something so beautiful?

I tried to do everything in my power not to give in. But that will always ended up with me saying yes. She seemed to realize that i was under her spell. She always did it. My walls are now crashing down.

"Just one shot." I said eventually.

A smug smile was playing on her lips.

I placed the drink against my lips as she did the same.

I felt the burning sensation as the liquid rushed down my throat. I screwed my eyes shut for a few seconds. I let the alcohol running through my veins.
