Nadine's pov
The doorbell resonated off the walls. And my heart began to flutter.
"Go ask her, Brandon." I could hear Dylan spoke before strutting away with his soda.
He left me stranded.
Ask me what?
Now its just the two of us. And the air couldn't be more awkward, if you ask me.
"Nads–,"
"Brands–,"
We both spoke at once, causing us to laugh nervously and exchange shy looks. Oh its high school all over again.
"You first." I awkwardly motioned my head towards him.
"I, uh," he ran his fingers through his hair, making it stick. Judging from the way he acted, he was somewhat nervous.
He looked at me hesitantly for a moment as he bit his bottom lip. Is it that bad? Whatever the hell he was going to tell me, that must be pretty bad. It dragged him into his uncomfortable state, no doubt. The jittery atmosphere radiated off his body started driving me nervous as well.
"Brands, are you okay?"
"Well, there's something i wanted to ask you, actually." He said, looking down on his shoes as he shoved his hands onto his back pockets and rocked back and forth on his heels. Another indicator that he was nervous. I started to learn his nervous habits one by one.
If i wasn't holding a tray right now, i'd like to just clasp and unclasp my hands. "And what is that?" I asked, carefully.
"Would you like to go out with me?" As soon as he popped the question, he screwed his eyes shut, waiting for my response.
A smile crept its way to my lips. "Are you asking me out on a date?"
He opened one of his eyes as he nodded. "Um, yes."
Oh my god. He's so cute.
I broke into the widest smile i've had.
"So what do you think?" He asked me, now with a smirk and both of his eyes opened.
"Its a yes." I nodded, a smile still painted on my face.
I felt ridiculously happy. Brandon Flynn asked me out on a date. Tell me im not dreaming.
"Are you going to open it or...?" Logan's voice trailed off, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I just stood there clueless, didn't know what to do since my knees are jelly and my stomach is doing a ton of flips. Im nervous as hell.
"What's wrong?" Logan approached back to me, shooting me with a concern look as she had a crease formed on her forehead.
"Im nervous." I said as i let out a shaky breath.
"Hey, you'll be fine." Logan squeezed my upper arms, comforting me.
"Right. Its just a date, right? No biggie." I breathed in and out, trying to steady my breath as i said, "Let's face him."
"You should." The corner of her lips twitched up. "And you look pretty by the way."
