The Misfortune of a Witch and her son(A Soul Eater Story)

Chapter 10

Crona's P.o.v. 

So far on our journey from escaping Lady Medusa we haven't found any more towns or cities near us, and we're still in a desert landscape for now. Mia has been using her Soul Mapper and so far no luck on any human souls around so she has decided to not use it for awhile. We've been walking for about two days now, sleeping in nearby caves, eating the insides of cacti and drinking from little ponds, I don't know how far Lady Medusa is but I feel that I can sense her presence nearby. 

Kioku's P.o.v. 

How much longer until there's a town? We've been walking for two days and still no sign of life around us, but we have to keep running from Crona's mom. Why does she have to be so powerful? How could she have stood up to my attacks? Well Crona did say that she is the most powerful witch but a little confidence never hurt anyone. 

Mia's P.o.v. 

I don't mind walking actually because I like getting out of the house for a change so I should enjoy my surroundings. I like helping out Kioku and Crona with trying to find a nearby city, but at the moment there's been no luck of finding one and I feel so useless for not being able to have a stronger sense. 

Crona's P.o.v. 

Well I guess the only thing to do for now is just to continue walking to who knows where... 

Two hours away from Crona... 

Medusa seemed to be getting anxious about finding Crona because now she can sense him even more, she was only two hours away from him and for her it was very close. Her broom flew in the middle of the desert with the snake witch aboard, the anxiety of it all was killing her. 

"I'm almost there Crona..." 

Crona's P.o.v. 

Mia has now attempted multiple times to tr on tracking down human souls but still no luck, it looks like this will be the end of us if we don't find any food or water anywhere and our bodies are beginning to stink from not bathing in two days. 

As Mia shut down her power of trying to track down souls all hope was lost for us...but then 

I saw as the Sun began to descend and entering its slumber, and I saw the Moon rise, and the stars followed. As we walked we saw a tremendous amount of light near us, and we raced towards that source of light with the remaining strength we had left. 

The source of light seemed to be coming from a city, but this was no city I've ever seen before, the entrance had skulls, and the buildings all the the same color, a gold and black sign hung from one of the buildings and it read, Death City. 

We continued walking around Death City and found some places to eat at with our remaining money, the food was all so good. We also had been invited by the owner of the restaurant if we'd like to come over to the back and bath there since he had showers near by, and how could we refuse? 

As the night began to rise we had left the place fully regenerated and fresh people. 

Well hopefully this place doesn't have any witches like in Chinatown. 

The people in this city must rarely come out because there was no one around, everyone was just in there home. 

We needed somewhere to sit down from all this walking we've down, and we stopped by a nearby park and sat on some benches. 

"Do you think that we've lost your mom yet Crona?" Kioku asked,"I'm not to sure but I think that she isn't anywhere near us so we should be safe for awhile." I said confidently, but in reality I knew she was still coming. 

We saw as a basketball rolled towards us by the wind that came, and Mia said,"How about a round?" So we played for about thirty minutes enjoying ourselves while the city slept, and then there was an explosion. 

Kioku's P.o.v. 

"What the hell was that?" I said looking around for Mia and Crona. Something just shot the ground where we stood sending us all flying but what was it. 

"Kioku?" Mia yelled out, "Mia?" I heard Crona's voice. I saw as the smoke around us began to fade and I saw as we were now all separated by a small crater that was now in the ground in between us all. 

I walked to Mia and asked if she was fine and she nodded, Crona joined us and he stared up in the sky with overwhelming fear, then I looked up and said,"Oh no!" 

Crona's P.o.v. 

Up in the sky I saw her. She sat in her twisted broom staring us down, vector arrows by her side...Lady Medusa. 

"Well I have finally found you Crona and let me say it was not so easy. But now that've found you you are coming home, right now." Lady Medusa said without a stutter. I looked up and said,"No." She looked at me furious,"No? What do you mean no?" She asked,"I want to stay with them." I pointed my direction towards Kioku and Mia,"Well that will just not do because you shouldn't hang out with meisters, they're evil Crona. Don't you remember? Meisters killed your father." Lady Medusa said 

What could I say to that? She was right about the meisters killing father but I couldn't keep a grudge on it like Lady Medusa. Then I saw as Kioku walked ahead of me,"Hey, you don't have to bring up the past you know. The past is the past, and this is the future so don't confuse Crona. If he wants to stay with us shouldn't you let your son choose that decision? Let him make his own decisions for once." Kioku said. 

Lady Medusa sent one of her Vector Arrows towards Kioku and it grabbed him and sent him flying towards a nearby concrete wall, and it made the wall crack,"Kioku!" Mia said running towards him,"Stay out of our family business." Lady Medusa said looking at Kioku,"Lady Medusa please don't hurt them, take me then, but please don't hurt them." I said and then I saw as Mia screamed at me,"Crona no don't go, you don't have to protect us stay with us, we can defeat her together." 

I saw as Lady Medusa looked at Mia,"So much big talk for such a small girl, you should be punished!" I saw as Vector Arrows stormed towards her, and I saw as Kioku instantly woke and grabbed Mia, and she transformed into the energy sword and he sliced the arrows, then Kioku pointed the energy sword towards Lady Medusa,"Don't you ever dare lay a finger on her." Medusa was amused at this,"Or what?" She said and then Kioku said,"Soul Resonance."  

"If you think that your Soul Resonance is powerful enough to stop me then your wrong because didn't you see what happened last time I still lived." Lady Medusa said "But this move is different, this time it is not Burn in Hell because that was my specialty but now it's Mia's specialty, let's go, Ice Breaker!" 

I saw as Kioku's body now glowed blue, and I saw as the energy sword did not glow fire, but this time the sword glowed blue and grew icicles that hung from the sides of the sword, he pointed the sword towards Lady Medusa and the sword shot out a giant icicle and hit with an explosion that made the ice blow and snow fell around us. As the white smoke began to fade a little and Mia transformed back into a human since she was now out of power, Kioku struggled moving from that hit on the concrete wall, and I stood looking at the clearing smoke. 

I saw as the white smoke fully vanished and all I saw was Lady Medusa's broom in mid air. "Where did she go?" I said looking around and so did everyone else. I saw as something shot out from a dark alley nearby and it wrapped around Mia,"Help!" Mia screamed and I saw what wrapped around her, a vector arrow. 

I saw as Lady Medusa walked out of the dark alley one eye glowing red, and a smile on her face, I saw that goosebumps were on her, and her coat was full of icicles, and her lips were purple while her face was pale. I saw as Mia was wrapped all the way to mouth, and she tried screaming, but no luck, I saw as Kioku ran towards her but was backed away by a vector arrow that threw him on the floor, and he stayed there. 

I looked at Lady Medusa and she walked by my side, and she said with her hood over her head,"If you want her back, you know where to meet me, until then Crona." I saw as Lady Medusa walked slowly and her broom flew below and Lady Medusa jumped on it, and I saw as the vector arrow sat Mia besides her, and the broom flew off at tremendous speed, and I looked up at sky and fell onto my knees and said,"Mia..."
