(Okay guys this book was not meant for Aaron to be the one who had a humorous life. His pov is kinda sad. I never meant for this book to be humorous so I decided to make Aaron and Alina the main characters so there could be humor on Alina's side of the story and serious stuff on Aaron's side. I have already written this story on another file and I didn't know that Jess was gonna start making Aarons life suck in PDH. So I'm sorry for everyone who wanted to escape the emotional crap in my fanfiction because your not gonna escape it. Sooo this book might not do as well as the last two but I'm going to finish it and finish the story.)
Aaron's pov
My Mom called me today and said she wanted to see me.
I walked into the resteraunt and sat down in front of her.
"Aaron. I see you made it on time. Your father was right. You have improved." Mom said.
"Thankyou Mom." I said.
She looked at my outfit.
"What are you wearing?" She asked.
I looked at my clothes.
"I'm wearing something comfortable for my day off. I don't get these very often you know." I said.
The waiter came over and we ordered.
"Anyway, Aaron I wanted to talk to you about something important." She said.
The waiter brought us our drinks.
"What is it?" I asked.
She sighed.
"I am aware that your father asked you to be his partner in this business. He told you that you have a choice. But I'll inform you that you don't have much of a choice." She said.
"And what is that suppost to mean?" I asked.
She sighed.
"Aaron you must take this position. It's the next step in your career. I mean you don't have too, but I don't think you would like having your pay cut down to the minimum which your suppost to get considering what you do for the company." She said in that smooth tone that I hate.
"So now your threatening to cut down my paycheck, if I don't do exactly what you and Dad want. Wow. Even I never thought you would stoop so low." I said.
"Aaron, I don't appreciate that tone." She said.
I start to bite the inside of my mouth.
"Mom, I don't want this to be a big ordeal. So I think I should go." I said.
She stopped me.
"Sit down Aaron." She said with a stern face.
I sat back down.
"Now listen to me. You will take this partnership and you will not argue with me about it."
That's it!
"You know what Mom, I will take this partnership. I was planning too anyway. But you are NOT going to control me anymore. You controlled me when I was a teenager. You sent me to military school just because I wouldn't be the son you always wanted! You have been trying to control me my whole life! I could never be myself around you and Dad, and I still can't! You don't respect me or my decitions! I'm done. I'm done bending over backwards to make you and Dad happy. I'm done listening to every single word you say! The only reason I do what I do for Dad is because I want to put food on the table. I do what I do for my family. Not for you. Not for Dad. Not for the damn business. I do it for my family. I go through hell everyday! I put up with your and dad's shit. I don't do it because I want to. Hell no, I don't do it because I want to. I do it so I can take care of my wife and daughter. There is no way in hell I would ever do this if it were not for them. So yes I'll take the partnership." I said.
I gave her one last look and I left.
When I got home, I made sure no one was there.
I went to my room and broke down.
"I can't do this anymore." I said through the tears.Alina's pov
Josh is so cool! He's in music club with me which is awesome! He plays the piano. He even said he liked my guitar!
"Alina are you even listening to me right now?" Dawn asked.
"Yeah. Yeah. Tyler is adorable. Got it." I said.
She rolled her eyes.
"For your information, I was talking about tennis. What has been distracting you lately? This whole week you've been in another world." She said.
"What? Distracted? I'm not distracted! Not at all!" I said nervously.
She laughed.
"Whatever you say. But I personally think you have a thing for Josh." She said.
"I do not!"
*Ring*
Saved by the bell. Literally.
We left the cafeteria and started toward our math class.
"We're talking about this later." She said.Aphmau's pov.
I opened the door and went into the kitchen. I noticed that Aaron's private phone was on the counter. He must have forgot it.
"Aaron, sweetie, I'm home!" I said.
Huh? Usually he answers.
I decided to go check on him. I walked upstairs and into our room.
I didn't see him.
"Aaron?" I called out.
I looked in the bathroom. Nothing.
Where is he? He could be out for a run. No. He wouldn't leave his phone. I decided to look in the shed. I walked in the shed and saw him asleep on the couch next to a piece of paper. I picked it. It's a letter. He scratched a lot of it out. But there is three sentences I can make out. 'I'm sorry for doing this to you and Alina. It's not fair to you or her that I did this. I'm sorry I just couldn't.....'
It looks like a........ I looked back at Aaron. He's breathing.
I woke him up.
"Aaron!" I yelled.
He jumped up.
"What?! What?!? Is something wrong?" He asked in panic.
"Were you going to hurt yourself. Did you hurt yourself. Are you okay?" I asked with tears in my eyes.
He looked at the paper in my hand and his eyes widened.
"No. Sweetie. No. I was writing that note because I'm taking the job that my Dad offered me. Halfway through writing it, I realized it was stupid and I scratched it out. I'm sorry for worrying you." He said.
I hugged him.
I'm so happy that was not what I thought that was.Alina's pov
I am so bored. I wonder what Mom and Dad are doing? It's probably a lot more fun than math.
Plus Dawn won't stop staring at me and silently laughing. Rrrrrrgggg. I'm going to get her later.
David is having no problems answering all these questions! How?After the bell rang it was time to leave.
We all decided to go to the park again. It is our favorite place.*ding*
Mom texted me.Mom: Be home by 5. We are going out to dinner to celebrate your dad taking the new job your grandfather offered!
Me:I'll be there
He took the job? Does that mean that......
"Yo! Alina!" I heard a familiar voice call my name.
I turned around.
"August!" I said happily!
We hugged.
"Hey! There's my girl!" He said.
Did he just call me his girl?
"You looked hella depressed just a minute ago." He said with that big cheesy smile.
"You know I hate that word and no I'm not depressed." I said.
"Alina I didn't say you were. I just said you looked that way." He said.
Then Dawn walked over with Tyler.
"Dawn! My other girl is also here." He said with that cocky grin.
He's my friend, but sometimes he gets on my nerves.
Dawn and August hugged.
Tyled growled.
"Woah! Hush puppy. We are just friends." August said with his hands in the air.
"Sorry Ty let's get going to the park. Will you join us August?"
"Sure! Why not!" He said.
There is no way I'm in the mood to go to the park after the news I just got.
"Actually guys my mom said she wanted me home by 3 so I better go home. Sorry." I lied.
"Oh. Okay. Well we can hang out all day tommorow. It is Saturday after all!" Dawn said.
"Yeah. I'll see you tommorow." I said.
I walked home.
I opened the door and saw Dad in the kitchen. He was wearing his normal clothes instead of a suit.
"Hey Dad!" I said. He looked up from his phone.
"Hey! Welcome home sweetie." He said with a smile.
I smiled and walked up to my room.
This is going to be a long night.
