My opinions on Aphmau.

Okay, now, let's begin. 

My opinion on Aphmau 4 years after I discovered her.

I will begin with how I viewed her content when I first discovered it. 

"The Beginning"

When I found Aphmau, I thought she was a really interesting and exciting person to watch. She had a great personality and I fell in love with the passion she put into her videos. I felt that if she stuck with her let's plays that she would eventually gain a bigger audience over time. Which, of course, she did. However when Minecraft went through it's golden age, I began to notice that her content took a turn from diverse to just Minecraft. This is when she began to do mostly roleplay. She came up with this series called "Minecraft Diaries", which was just her testing mods, but then season 2 came around. 

"The Turning Point" 

When season 2 ( later changed to Season 1) of MCD (short for Minecraft Diaries) came around, there was a change in the format. Her role play went from gameplay with role play, to just role play. Which in the beginning was alright. The story was good, and the characters were well developed. And then, the real Season 2 came around. This was when the story began to decline. It was a hot mess an never followed a plot line all the way through. The plot jumped around, and the series was wreck. 

"Mystreet"

Mystreet was created to make a fun and silly AU to Diaries. It was meant to be a creative way to make the MCD characters all likable and somewhat fun to watch. But this series, in my opinion, took way to many ideas from anime. Especially in Season 1. The plots were, like MCD,  scattered. 50%. Season 2 was better. It was probably the best season of the series to be honest. It was self aware that it was a unrealistic funny and somewhat entertaining series. The characters all had different personalities and were well developed and diverse. I did however hate the fact that it was a forced season. Basically made just so they could put the characters in a more romantic and interesting setting. 80%.  Season 3, oh lord. Season 3 was probably the WORST season. This season is probably the most forced and crap season in the history of Aphmau's channel. (Except the fairytale AU. With all the princesses and princes. Which I only watched two episodes of.) This season was the last season with Laurence, Nicole, and Dante as a relevant characters. This season is also really disappointing because of the forced break-up between Aphmau and Aaron. This also led to the Lycan family being better developed, giving Aaron a somewhat better background, than Phoenix Drop High. But, this season, changed the personalities of the character entirely. 10%. Season 4 was the best when it came to sticking to a plot. The characters had a significant change in this season and they changed a lot because of the events in the story which helped develop good plot lines in the future. Season 4, however, did change the series from happy go lucky to a drama which was annoying. It was probably because Aphmau lost MCD because of lack of viewership, so she thought she could continue MCD in someway. That's probably why Irene was in this season. 70%. Season 5 was trash. That's all I have to say about that one. All the season did was open it up for Season 6. 25% Which I have watched 4 episodes of.  Mystreet in all, is a stupidly bad and ridiculous series. 

"The fandom"

This fandom has become a weird ass place filled with people attracted to blocks (Which I have always thought was stupid), furries, and dumb kids. 

All the youngest members of the fandom are being effected by these things. I can say that it is a bad idea to let your impressionable kids (under 8) watch her content. 

The fandom is also VERY toxic.

"Jess and Jason"

I respect them for fulfilling their dreams and starting this channel. They have been very successful. They started a company and are creating content that they are proud of. 

"How they treat their fans" 

Jess treats the fans better then Jason does. I will say that. But she does treat them pretty badly.

Jess can't take constructive criticism. She gets upset because of people trying to help her make her content better. She sees past this and automatically assumes it is just hate. She blocked many of her fans who critiqued Season 2 of MCD which was trash. Maybe if she would have listened the series would still be around today. No one wants to watch bad videos. 

"Quality of her Content"

The Quality of her videos and story is lacking. The story seems to get worse as the videos get better. Honestly I wish she would just go back to the simple days when the stories were actually good. 

"Overall Opinion"

Aphmau's content could be so much better if she tried her best to listen to the opinions and views from her fans or began to actually come up with good stories. To be honest I wish I could get every second I watched her content back.
