"I'm telling, ya, now's the best time." Cole stood, arguing with Jess, leg fully healed.

"I still don't know," said Jess. "wouldn't they expect it?"

"Same as they would in the morning," said Cole. "plus, the more we wait the more time is wasted."

"So are we going or not?!" Skya exclaimed. She wasn't one to bud in on arguments, but this one was getting on her last nerve.

"Fine, we're going," Jess agreed reluctantly. Cole stood, happy.

"Take you're best supplies, we may not be coming back," said Cole.

"You're making it hard to agree with you," Jess said sarcastically. Cole snickered as he grabbed a spear, Skya grabbing a sword, and Diandra reluctantly grabbing a knife. Jess took a curves axe and added a knife to her belt. Diandra looked Skya in the eye, scared. Skya touched Diandra's arm, reassuringly, and she showed her the best she could at a smile.

Cole started walking forward and beyond the cornucopia, but stopped as an arrow came hurling at his head. Diandra gasped, and gripped her knife tighter. Jess ran up to Cole, looking at the boy from District Seven.

Zeon aimed his next arrow at Jess, as he had made many more homemade ones in the woods so he wasn't afraid to run out. Jess moved to the side, and Cole threw his spear at Zeon.

Skya and Diandra stood still, but then Skya said, "Stay back," and ran up to join the fight. Diandra scowled, and got her knife into position.

All of the other careers fought, either with weapons or without, and Skya knew to aim her sword carefully. Zeon kept his end goal in mind, and kept firing arrows, and when Skya aimed for Zeon, he shot her right on the edge of her arm.

Skya groaned, but got back up. She took her sword and swung at Zeon. Zeon moved around it and shot at Skya again. He wasn't on aim, and Skya dodged it almost naturally, and started to walk back. That's when Cole took his spear threw it into Zeon's side. Zeon croaked, falling down onto his side, and a canon boomed.

"Skya," said a small voice Skya knew as Diandra's. She turned to see the small girl holding her chest, falling. Worry went across Skya's face as she ran over to her and pulled out the arrow that missed Skya that she now thought wasn't aimed for her.

She held Diandra on her lap as a tear went down Skya's face. Diandra raised her hand, and wiped it off Skya's face. Skya was panicking.

"You're gonna win, Skya," She said weakly. "You will win." She said it like it was no big deal, what had happened, and for the first time in the games, actually formed a small smile. It seemed easy for her as Skya held the girl's hand into hers. Diandra liked the reinforcement, and it almost made her forget about Zeon. Skya saw her brown eyes start to close. A tear from her face fell into Diandra's, forming a small puddle on her cheek that reminded her of blush. The canon went off.

Cole stared. He didn't know what to think. District 1 had no more living tributes, and only three careers remained, less than he thought would be left at this point.

Skya stood up, backing up from Diandra, still crying. She ran over to Zeon's body and took his bow and arrow out of his hand. Angrily, she loaded an arrow and fired it randomly among the arena. She hadn't known if it had hit anything, neither did she care. She just had to throw it, knowing that that could be her biggest mistake.

The hovercraft came soon, picking up both the bodies of Zeon and Diandra. Skya holds the bow and arrow left by Zeon by her side, making sure to keep it for a while. She also took the arrows that were held in Zeon's holster so that she had extra load. She watched both bodies being lifted up into the white machine and held back even more tears.
