Part 10

A/N: I'M BACK! And with a new part for you guys. Another short one, but there's a lot happening in it. IT'S GOT SOME ANGST THOUGH so be warned smol hoomans. Hopefully I will be updating more frequently again, but they will probably be short. Also, Winter will be a bit OOC ('Out Of Character' for those who don't know). Enjoy!

Winter POV

'I can't believe that Father would do this to his own daughter. Not to mention, telling me to do the dirty work.' I thought as I walked down the corridor to my younger sister's dorm room. He told me that I had to get (Y/N) to break up with her....without telling Weiss why. The thought of my heartbroken sister made me feel awful. I reached the room, and knocked on the door. It opened rather quickly, and I was greeted with the face of the one that I had to talk to.

"Oh, hi Winter! What brings you here? Wait, let me get Weiss." She said, starting to walk away.

"No. I came here to talk about an important matter. With only you, Miss (L/N)." I stated formally. She raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Please, come out here and shut the door." She hesitated, yet complied anyway.

"Okay...don't be so formal, you're making me nervous."

"I have received orders from Father. He told me to give you this message, and keep it between the three of us. Got it?" She nodded. "Good. You have to break up with Weiss, and not tell her why." She stood there, mouth hanging open in shock.

"W-What? Why?"

"Because if this task is not completed within 48 hours, Father will pull her out of Beacon, and keep her away from her dream of becoming a huntress, and you." Silence followed, until she was finally able to speak.

"I'm guessing he found out about us. Right?" I nodded. "Winter..why?"

"Believe me, I don't want this to happen either. When he confirmed my suspicions about you two being together, I was ecstatic. He's been watching you guys and showed me the videos. I've never seen her so happy, and this is the last thing I want. But he demanded that I be the one to deliver this information. I'm sorry." Once I finished, she hugged me. Normally, I would sigh and push her off, but this time I just held her in my arms.

"I-It's not your f-fault. So, I have 48 hours?" I nodded. "Okay. Thank you for telling me. See ya."

"Goodbye, (Y/N). Again, I'm so sorry..." She sent me a weak smile, and stepped back into the room.

"It's okay." And with that, she quietly closed the door. 'I'm sorry, Weiss....'

(Y/N) POV

As soon as the door closed, I heard Weiss call for me from the kitchen. I walked in, and she turned around. Upon seeing my dejected expression and flattened (f/c) ears, she started walking closer to me.

"Hey, what's wro-"

"Don't." I interrupted. She stopped and looked at me with undisguised worry and confusion. "I need to tell you something. Then, I will be going to talk to Ozpin about some things. You should sit." She sat down nervously, awaiting my statement. 'I'm so sorry...' I thought, taking a deep breath. "I think we should break up. I don't want you to question me, or try to stop me as I leave. It's over." I said, quickly leaving the room soon after. I went to the door and turned the knob, stopping for a moment to debate going back in there to spill the truth. I heard a few muffled sobs, and left before I could do anything. 'It's for her own good...' I thought, my pace speeding up the further I got from the room. I passed team JNPR and the rest of team RWBY as they walked back to their rooms. I heard a few voices call out to me, but I just continued to speed-walk until I reached the elevator to get to Ozpin's office. I stepped in and pushed the button, and the doors slid closed. As each of the floors passed by, a small ding was heard. And with each of those dings, more and more of my heart broke off into pieces. Soon, it reached the floor that I needed to be at. Once the doors were open, I stepped out and made eye contact with him. He must have seen the sadness in my (e/c) orbs, because he immediately stood up and rushed to my side, hugging me tightly with no intent of letting go.

"What happened, sweetie?" He asked, concern lacing his voice.

"I broke up with Weiss."
