{A/N- I'm currently reading the first book! P.S.- Wattpad deleted the original Chapter 2, so I had to shorten this one up.}
**Percy's POV**
"No. Nonononono." I say. "There's no possible way."
"Its possible, Percy." Annabeth says. "This can't be fake." She says pointing towards the trident.
In a few seconds it disappears
"Concentrate on the water, Maura." Annabeth says.
She stands there concentrating her very light blue eyes on the sparkling water of the lake.
She stands there for about 5 minutes, but then turns and says;
"GODDANGIT. How long do I have to concentrate? I've been standing here for five minutes and how long does it take yo-" She turns to face the water.
There is a sparkling column of water shimmering in a tower in front of her.
"Woah.." She whispers in awe. She concentrates harder on the water, making the column grow larger until it stretches across the pier in an arch. Then she lets the water fall.
The water splashes onto the pier, sending a couple droplets onto Annabeth. She doesn't seem to mind.
I can tell she is satisfied, but in shock that she is half god.
The conch shell horn blows, signaling us to head to the mess hall. Considering her just controlling water, you'd think that she's be used to centaurs, satyrs, and stuff like that, but she's still very confused.
We sat at a picnic bench, Annabeth adjusting her orange Camp Half-Blood teeshirt. Wood nymphs came out with trays of cheeses, fruit, beef, brisket, vegetables, and fresh bread. Maura stared at her empty glass.
"So uh.. where are the beverages?" She asked.
"Speak to your cup," a satyr said, while sitting next to Percy.
"Talk to it?" She asked, "You mean tell it what I want to drink?"
The satyr nodded. "Um, I'll have a lemonade." She said to the cup.
The beverage swirled up inside the glass.
"My name is Grover." The satyr said.
"Maura." She responded. They shook hands. Maura loaded her plate with bread.
Chiron stomped his hoof to get everyone's attention.
"Attention, campers. As we know, capture the flag will be tomorrow, since today is Thursday. Everyone be prepared. Now, for out toast. To the gods." He said.
"To the gods." Everyone repeated. All the campers got up and approached a fire pit where campers were dropping info is items.
"What are we doing?" Maura asked Grover.
"We're giving a tribute to the gods. They like the smell."
She looked confused. She sniffed it and have a nod with a slight smile. I swear, the gods could live on that smell. It was so good.
**Maura's POV**
"So, demigods play capture the flag?" I asked Annabeth.
"Yes," She responded. "But it's not exactly your typical capture the flag."
"What do you mean?"
"Let's just say that it involves armor and swords."
"Armor and swords? Where do I get that?"
"I'll help you with it tomorrow morning, before the game starts. I think a size 7 will do. You can be on my team." She said.
"Thank goodness. I'd die out there with out you."
"No problem." She said with a smile.
