**Maura's POV**

The next day, after breakfast, Chiron had all the campers gather around him at the training area.

"Today must be very productive." He says. "Why? You ask, that must not be unveiled until later."

Leaving us to train with those words, I start to uncap Wavebreaker, my pen-sword that I received from my father.

It's blade shimmers in the morning light, send a ray of sunshine onto the gravel ground.

"Hey, fish girl." A taunting voice says.

I turn my head towards the voice. I recognize her as the girl who I water torpedoed during capture the flag, Clarisse.

"What do you want, Clarisse." I say with a firm tone.

"I want to fight you. Suit up."

I get my armor on (which is extremely heavy.) and make sure I am grasping Wavebreaker tight enough. Everyone seems to clear out, leaving Clarisse and I in the center of the training arena. The sun beats down on my forehead as she makes her first move.

Shield up, shield down, dodge, slash, block.

Wow. Did I seriously remember that? I guess so.

Clarisse wipes her sword across my neck, leaving a giant gash and me in pain. I spot a puddle from last night's rainstorm on the ground. I know if I can get there, I can heal quickly and charge right back at her. I guess she notices me advancing towards the puddle.

"Retreating, huh? Too weak to fight?" And then my foot reaches the puddle.

Energy charges up my spine and into my head, leaving a rush of adrenaline. I dodge Clarisse's advance and come right back up to cut her arm and forehead. She is too slow to respond, and because of that, I end with my sword pointed at her throat, her blade on the ground. And to finish that off, and small trinket of water arises from the puddle in line with the movement of my hand and sprinkles on her head.

"ARGH! You stupid Poseidon kids!" She yells and walks away.

I am personally satisfied on how firm I was during that fight. I wonder if using my water, uh.. abilities is considered cheating. It is swordplay, you know, not waterplay.

When night falls, I head back to my cabin. I was picking strawberries. I walked past the Big House and heard arguing inside.

"She's too dangerous!"

"She's fine."

"Get her out of here, but in a way she won't notice it."

"Are you suggesting a quest?"

"Yes."

"Dionysus, I can't do that to her. She's only been here four days!"

Then the rest of the talking is muffled. I head back to my cabin and lay in my cot.
