The events from last night didn't really bother Nabil. Despite her specifically saying she was glad to see him. He told Benjamin that he'd merely bumped into her last night, omitting the fact she was extremely drunk.
❝Must be quite the party girl,❞ Benjamin commented before looking around, ❝who... isn't here today.❞ Nabil looked around too, and shrugged. Hungover maybe, he thought to himself.
Awhile later, the Schalke boys were executing their respective drills. Nabil laughed as Benedikt tried to nutmeg him – but failed. Little did he know that Erin was watching from afar.
❝You're late again,❞ her supervisor Alaric appeared, a stern expression across his face. ❝Sorry,❞ was all she could say. She had no excuse, since partying all night was out of the question. Alaric sighed, ❝If you keep–❞
He was interrupted by a cry of pain from the field. It was Nabil on the ground, gripping onto his knee. ❝Must've hurt himself,❞ Alaric uttered before gesturing his way, ❝go patch him up.❞
She froze. Go to Nabil? ❝Go on!❞ Alaric frowned. Erin knew she couldn't say no. Keeping her head low and carrying her first aid kit, she jogged over. ❝Hey,❞ she mumbled before turning her attention to his bleeding knee.
She worked in silence, until she couldn't take it anymore. ❝I'm sorry,❞ she looked at him, ❝about last night. I–I hate myself.❞ Her friend had told her what happened, and she was beyond embarrassed. He chuckled softly, smiling. ❝It's okay. You didn't hurt anyone.❞
Erin was surprised at that point. Twice she had inconvenienced him, yet Nabil remained unfazed. And she wasn't questioning the growing affection she felt for him. How could she not fall for him?
