Chapter 7

Despite no school or riding lessons I still got up at four and got a shower then I headed down to the cafeteria I grabbed a breakfast sandwich and a carton of orange juice and ate it on the way to the stables it was practically deserted  of People there were two stable hands but that was it ,I walked over to ravens stall she greeted me with a whiny.

I was grooming raven when bill of all people went past as he noticed me he looked and his watch and his eyes grew big
Bill" joe it is half four in the morning on the weekend ,what are you doing here "
Me " what are you doing here "
He sighed
Bill " well I've got a class and need to prepare"
" what class "
" oh well a advanced class from a nether school ,they have asked me to teach them and put them in levels as there teacher is not in the position to do so  , and on top of that I still have to level you and your group "
With that I had an idea
" what if you call up my class and we could have the class together it is the week end so we can use the arena ,in there is plenty of space "
His face lit up like a light bulb
" that is a amazing ideas thank you joe see you at the lesson "
With that he disappeared I mounted raven like I did the day before with no tack we went up the I high field and walked a bit about five-ish I got a text from bill it read
" all western students to be fully equipped in the main arena at three this after noon for levelling ,thank you "
I walked a bit more with raven we ended up at the cross country course ,I couldn't  over work  raven a lot as I wanted to save her energy so at one point I dismounted and walked a bit raven followed me and we talked or I talked we came to a meadow and I sat down and watched at raven at as much grass she could get her teeth in to .

A while later I checked the time it was 6.12 I started to head back I saw more people coming out to get there horses from the paddocks .

I get to the stables and stables raven then groomed her after a while I got out her western saddle and cleaned it so there weren't as much mud in all the leather ,then a got raven a hey net and watched her eat it .

At one point I also organised my tack box as there were brushes flying around and stray bits of straw ,then I finally headed to the dorm house and took another shower ,I just finished and was lying on m bed when Emma came in
" hey "
" hey "
" Emma ,when do you have your levelling for dressage "
" um next lesson I think why , when do you have yours "
" today at three "
" are you sure I haven't seen and notice "
" oh bill texted us "
" bill?"
" he is my western teacher ,he's not the type for fancy names "
" my dressage teacher is all like fancy fancy as if we are about to meet the queen ,and are position and to be emasculate"
" well you might like is or not but all that dressage is really showing in your jumping "
" awww thanks "
She gave me a huge and we talked a bit more about school lessons then we both had homework to do.

We went down to lunch and as usual spotted max,kody ,jack ,Jordan and Jason I put down my tray and they were in the middle of talking about different bridals ,one they finished Jason said
" so everyone ready for levelling "
They all agreed then I said
" why guys " they all looked at me " I talked to bill this morning and we are levelling with a class from a other school do just a heads up "

They all had mixed reactions but ultimately they were fin with it ,I added
" and I recommend getting to the stables at two ,to clean your tack and properly groom your horse ,because bill has enough on his plate and he doesn't want his students to be late ok "

They all agreed . After I met up with Emma and we went to our dorm and watched sum tv ,at 1.55 I got changed to day I wore western ridding jeans with boost small spurs and the western shirt of my house colours I had my hat In had as I headed out the door I herd Emma shout me good luck , I went past our dorm monitor,who's name I found out was Jane
Jane " who ,hold your horses where are you going ,looking like a cowgirl "
Me " western levelling to day they got move have to run see you in about two hours "
Jane" ok than good luck"
Before she finished I was out the door running out across the court yard to the stables as I got there about five minuets  later I was out of breath I lead raven to a cross tie and brushed her really good so she was shining through her black coat then i saddled her just as the boys came In running I looked at my phone 2.45 I said
" better hurry up "
They turned and I was leading raven out they shouted at the same time
" we know "
" of bill asked ill say you horses where in the paddocks "
As I said that they calmed at once .

I vaulted on to ravens back and we went to the main arena as I came in I saw a bunch of western riders out side saddling up and mounting up I saw bill in the middle moving barrels and poles and varies things ,not long after the boys came in I was just trotting raven when the others students joined in and then the boys I was cantering raven when I herd two voices behind me
" ,lough, hey I bet that girl can't even ride and is just here for the boys, lough, "
I assent sad but really looking forward to show them .

After a while bill called us in the middle
Bill" ok thank you for coming from windster academy "
He gestures to the other students the. He continued
" ok so I will give you a task and you will try it to the best of your ability if you need to you may have one redo "
Everyone nodded ,bill called out names in random order once you were done you went to the other side of the arena and did what you wanted .

Several people had gone and there was only me Jason and two boys from the other school who were the ones that talked about me ,bill called up for one of the boys then Jason he I did good then bill called for the other boy he said
" watch and learn sweetheart "
I just rolled my eyes he did about as well as Jason then bill called me up by now raven was in the zone he asked for the barrel race I lined up raven and once he gave the signal...
