Clara P.O.V

Gasp.

Today's my freaking birthday! Ninetales woke me up nicely, which means she didn't burn my face with her powerful Flamethrower. I was happily singing in my head and humming as I walked to my closet. Birthday girl picks her birthday outfit, am I right?

I styled my wavy, chocolate hair in the best messy bun I could make. My bangs covered my forehead, and my lips were covered in the faintest lipgloss. Once I was satisfied with my appearance, I went downstairs only to be attacked by my mother's bear hug.

"Happy Birthday!" she yelled, crushing the life out of me.

I panted. "Mom...can't breathe."

"Oh, sorry," she apologized and released me, letting me fill my lungs with fresh air. "Here's your gift."

She handed me a nicely wrapped box and I carefully unwrapped it. Inside was my own MasterBall, shrinked and chained to a necklace.

"Mom..." I gasped.

"Shh, don't tell me anything. I know how much that PokéBall means to you, so I turned it into a necklace for you to take it everywhere."

I hugged her tightly and almost cried of happiness. "Can you put it on for me?"

She nodded and took the necklace, placing the cold, silver chain on my neck. The MasterBall reached above my chest, and I saw it could be easily taken off from the thing that holds it in place.

"Thank you, Mom. I gotta go to school, see you soon," I kissed her cheek and went outside.

My Pokémon immediately engulfed me in a crushing hug, leaving me breathless.

"Can't...breathe," I panted, and my Pokémon got the clue as one by one they released me.

I chose Luxray, Greninja, Tyranitar, Mismagius, and Aurorus to accompany me today at school. I waved goodbye to everyone and made my way outside with Ninetales to the streets, only to remember I didn't bring any flying Pokémon that could handle my weight.

Just as I was gonna return to my garden, Ash called my name. "Clara!"

I turnes around and was surprised at the sudden lip embrace. The kiss was short, but still meaningful. "Happy Birthday to the angel fallen from the sky," he grinned.

"Thank you," I said.

"So," Ash began, "I see you don't have a ride for school."
