Tears blind me and I turn, running as quickly as my long legs can carry me, bolting down the alley way like an Olympic champion at the start gun; quickening my pace to an all out sprint. The pounding noise of my tennis shoes resonating off the trees of the path with a clanging echo that matched my heart throbbing inside my chest with the thick grief and fear I felt as I ran. I ran until i ran way from the scene before me until I was to weak to run no more I ran as my heart dropped in my stomach and I couldn't breath.I paused as I see a zebra.
My eyes flickered onto the zebra grazing nearby. It's large eyes completely dissolved me like water. They were so deeply ingrained and I was sucked into them as if they were a black hole. The stripes of the zebra created a hypnotising pattern.I walked slowly to it and it stopped eating as it looked at me.I look it square in the eye as I walk towards it, it stepped back slightly but soon came to me I touched him and felt his heart beat entwine with mines. Before I knew it it ran off and confused I turn around and see a weak lion.The lion had seen better days. Ali wondered how long ago he had been expelled from his pride. Once he had been fed, pampered, been a king. In his face was the lingering signs of regality, but this noble beast was thin, fur waning and dull. His eyes were sunken and his gait had a wobble uncharacteristic of his kind. He'd be gone soon, a bag of bones covered in the the buff-coloured fur.
I look at him as he falls to the ground weakly.I go up to it and feel his heart and hear how faint it was I look around quickly and see a dead deer near I drag it to him and he looked at me like he was thanking me and I touch him before walking back home.
Emily POV
I stop jamming into her and she picks up her clothes and cover it on her chest in tears.
''Emily y-you raped me''
''You kissed me''
''and I told you I didn't want to do it anymore and you continued''she burst into tears and ran and I RAN AFTER HER.
