Part 3 Chapter 1

Ashlyn lead the way into Bucky's apartment in Bucharest. "How did you know he was here?", she glanced back and then continued walking forward, "Umm. Well. After the DC event, I hunted Bucky down. He was remembering things. I found him hidden in a ran down warehouse in DC and helped him evade Hydra. I lead him here and gave him the advice of eating plums for memory. Uh, he made me promise to never come here or lead you here unless it was important.", she opened the door and glanced around, Bucky must have been out. She glanced around and sighed as she seen the blanket on the floor, she seen Steve snooping and she made a face, "Seriously Steve?", he looked at her and she tilted her head to the left, "Hey Buck.", she turned, "Why are you here Ash? To take me in? I didn't do that.", she smiled, "I know you didn't and I am here to help.", Bucky nodded and glanced at her left hand, "Married now?", she nodded, "Barton?", she smiled and nodded again, "Good. Why is he here?", she glanced at Steve, as Sam filled her ear, "I've been compromised, they're coming in.", she ran her tongue over her teeth, "He is here to help Bucky, I promise. But we have to go. The people who think you did this are here and they aren't planning on taking you in alive.", he nodded and she paused, "Shit. Grenade.", she turned and caught the grenade with her powers and Steve covered it with his shield. She turned as a ram started hitting the door and she kicked the table, giving more enforcement to the door. Guys in swat gear stormed in and she groaned, "Damn it.", she held them with her powers and Bucky grabbed one that was running up behind her and threw him down, he punched by his face, "We aren't killing anyone.", the two looked at Steve, "We aren't going to.", she knocked out the guys she was holding and glanced at Bucky, giving him a nod. The two moved the table and kicked the door, slamming back the swat members. Ashlyn went first and tossed two guys into the wall, knocking them out. Steve shaking his head.

The battle to run was on the stairs and Ashlyn broke the railing as she fought off some guys with her hands, "Go!", Bucky nodded and jumped, taking a grappling member with him, Steve caught the guy, "Seriously you two.", Ashlyn smirked and shrugged. She went after Bucky and watched as a black cat was attacking him, "What the hell? Sam, you seeing this?", she didn't hear his reply and she sighed before she jumped and used her powers to get over. She knocked the guy off Bucky and she raised an eyebrow, "Anyone ever tell you that Black Cats are bad luck?", she smirked and her fire like powers filled her palms and snaked up her arms, "Who are you?", the guy didn't answer and she glared, "Really? Children.", she started fighting him and she raised an eyebrow as her twin blades appeared and she held off his claws, "Vibranium suit, you must be from Wakanda. If I am not mistaken.", she smirked, "Bye, your highness.", she shoved him away with her powers and Steve tackled him. She nodded and she went after Bucky.

The chase was on the highway and Ashlyn was using her powers to protect the people left and right. She saw a bomb get attacked to the over hang and she rushed forward, using her power to hold up the debris. Police surround them and watched as the women held the debris, keeping people safe, Rhodey landed, "Captain, Wilson, you just became fugitives.", Ashlyn grunted and noticed that there was a blank spot, just big enough for the debris. She flew forward and dropped the debris, and then she landed. She looked a bit pale and she released a big breath before walking forward, "The people thank you for keeping them safe. You are free.", she nodded at Rhodey and glanced at the Black Panther, "Your Highness.", the man took off his mask and she smirked, Rhodey's eyes widening. "How did you-", she looked at him, "Do you know nothing of Wakanda Traditions?", she walked off and stumbled, an officer catching her, "Whoa. Are you okay?", she nodded, "Yeah, I'm alright. Um. Can I ride in a car back please?", they nodded and she was in a car with a random police officer.

She was lead back in and Tony rushed forward, "Are you crazy? Ash, you haven't held that much weight in over a year.", she nodded, "I know Tony, I'm sorry. Before I get lectured, I need to find the man who is going to interview Barnes, something is wrong Tony.", he looked at her. She was never wrong with these feelings, he sighed, "Ash, it's all I could do to not go out there myself in my suit and loafers. You could have gotten hurt.", she looked at him, "And if my feeling is correct, which it always is, then many others could be hurt. Let me talk to the interviewer, get a read. Something is wrong Tony, something bad is going to happen." He sighed, "I can't allow it, sorry Ash.", she glared, "Then everything that follows is on you, Anthony Stark.", she spun on her heel and walked away, an agent giving her a water bottle and banana. She walking into the conference room with Sharon, Steve, and Sam. "Agent 13, I am sorry for the lose of your aunt.", Sharon nodded and the two hugged before she glanced at Steve, "I also apologize for your lose Steven.", she hugged him as well, "Sharon, where is the interview taking place?", Sharon glanced at her and told her through her mind. She nodded and drank her water and took a bite of the banana before leaving and making her way to the sublevel.

She found the room and heard the German before she heard Bucky's screams of protest. She ran and exploded the door off, "Nein, Bucky, erinnere dich, was ich dir beigebracht habe, denke, Ponys, Sechs, Baum, Affe, Wasserturm, Mo, Vier, Begeisterung.", the interviewer turned and she glared, her eyes glowing red and her powers snaking, "You are too late Phoenix. Soldat?", Ashlyn closed her eyes in hope, "Ich bin bereit zu entsprechen.", but she was disappointed. "Mission Report December 16th, 1991, then töte den Phönix.", her eyes widened, "Nein, kämpft gegen Bucky, du bist nicht der Soldat, du bist James Buchanan Barnes, der beste Freund von Steve Rogers, Mitglied des 107. Brooklyn-Eingeborenen.", it didn't work and she was slammed against the wall.

Steve and Rhodey ran down and Steve stopped as he seen Ashlyn, laying on the floor. She had blood and bruises on her body and she coughed as she rolled over, "The guy, I was right.", she stood up, "You have to get to Bucky.", he nodded and ran off. She ran upstairs holding her side, Tony's eyes widening, "I told you. The guy was an imposter. He wanted-", she got cut off by her coughing, blood splattering on her hand, "He wanted a mission report. There are others, he means to wake them.", she walked forward and stumbled, Natasha catching her, "Ash, sit down.", she shook her head, "I can't I have to help. Bucky is in the building, the guy released him as soon as he was done beating me. I have to help.", Bucky rushed upstairs and she tensed, he started attacking and Ashlyn ran forward. She slammed Bucky back with her powers, "Wake up!", she snarled at him, but he just tossed her back. She groaned as she hit off the wall and he stalked toward, "Could you at least remember me for Christ's sake.", she dodged as Tony used a blaster and she groaned, "Ashlyn! Get to cover!", she scoffed and a four on one assault happened. The prince, Nat, Sharon, and Ashlyn all taking on the Soldier. He sent Sharon through a table and Ashlyn stood, "That is no way to treat-", he focused on her and Natasha hit him, "Oh shit.", Ashlyn groaned and used her powers to shoot an energy ball at him. He threw Natasha and grabbed Ashlyn by the throat when the Prince kicked him aside. She coughed and rolled over. "Ash, stop, think about Wanda and Pietro.", she stood up, "I am, both sets of them.", she stood up and ran, well more like limped after him.

They stood in a warehouse and Ashlyn spoke to Steve, "Battle lines are being drawn Steve. Tony will form a group to go after us and we have us four. He will have more than that. We need help.", he looked at her, "Think you can get us some?", she glanced at him, "I can for sure get two on our side and Wilson knows someone with a few tricks up his sleeve. I'll leave tonight to get my two, don't tell Bucky about him hurting me alright. He need not worried. I healed.", Steve nodded and she ran out, going to her hidden helicopter and flying back to America.
