Ashlyn landed the jet in the woods, she glanced to her left and raised her eyebrow, "You realize that in doing this, we are picking Steve's side? If we lose, we could go to jail.", Clint nodded, "We could, but Tony would somehow keep you out.", she sighed, "I know but you'll still be in there and I would stop at nothing to get you out.", he smiled at her and gave her a kiss, "Ready?", she nodded, "As I'll ever be.", she sent an energy ball into the air and Clint used a explosion arrow to hit it and make an explosion outside before Ashlyn got them both inside, Wanda and Vision were looking outside when Clint used two EMP arrows, "Clint, what are you doing here?", Ashlyn appeared beside Wanda, "Let's go, retirement was getting a bit boring.", Wanda glanced at them and then at Vision, "Wanda, Steve needs our help. Please.", she went to go forward but Vision broke free of the EMPs, "Shit.", the two started trying to fight Vision but it wasn't working. Ashlyn stepped back, "Let him go.", Wanda and Ashlyn had their powers in their hands, "They can.", Vision looked at them, "Sorry Vision.", they both hit the android with their powers and he went through the floor. Ashlyn and Wanda sighed, "Let's go meet Cap and the team.", Wanda nodded and they ran out of compound.
Ashlyn had been in charge of getting all the transport back to Sam, Steve, and Bucky. She glanced back at Wanda and Scott Lang. She smiled and looked at Clint as he drove, "I love you.", he smiled at her, "I love you too. ", she smiled, "I'm sorry I dragged you into this.", Clint chuckled, "We are a team.", she smiled, "The greatest.", he chuckled and kissed her cheek, "Damn right. Now then, wake the kids.", she playfully rolled her eyes but turned around, "Children, wake up, we're here.", she opened the passenger door and stepped out, forcing the back door open. "Thanks for helping.", Wanda glanced at the Bartons and smiled, "It was time to get off my ass.", they smiled and Ashlyn helped Scott up. "Nice to see you again Ashlyn, Sam. You must be Clint, Ash talks about you alot. Oh my god, you are Captain America, big fan. Oh, Scarlet Witch, I like you too. So what time zone are we in.", Ashlyn smiled, "Calm down there Langy boy. I want you guys to know that we're against the law on this, vigilantes.", Scott glanced at her, "What else is new?" She nodded, "Everyone needs to suit up." They nodded and she turned and glanced at Steve and Bucky, "We are fighting our friends on this Steve. I'm with you 110%, but I just wanted to remind you. There may be no going back after this one boys." They all nodded and disappeared to suit up for their fight.
Ashlyn hid back and pulled on her fingerless gloves, she flexed her hands and then released it. She sighed and glanced down, speaking in Bulgarian.
"Mili Bozhe, molya te, neka zhiveem Neka da se vŭrna pri bebetata si.", she wrapped her hand around her signature cross necklace and Steve walked up, "You can still walk away, for the twins.", she glanced at him, "I am doing this for both sets of twins and the world. It'll be hard to raise my babies if five crazy super soldiers take over and kill the world.", Steve looked at her and she gave a small smile, "Let's do this Captain.", she flicked her wrist and the familiar red energy flared and her eyes glowed orange, the tips of her hair turning red. She smiled and Bucky walked over to the pair, "I'm with you boys till the end of the line.", and then she ran off. Bucky chuckling, "She's a bit strange.", Steve nodded, "She's family.", Bucky nodded, "Let's do this.", they walked to see Clint and Ashlyn talking to Wanda, the trio hugging and Ashlyn kissing the top of her head. "I'll protect you Wanda, will my life." Wanda softly smiled and hugged the older woman, "And I will protect you." Ashlyn glanced at her watch, "We need to roll out now Captain. I have a feeling Tony and his group are on their way.", Steve nodded, "You heard the boss, let's move out.", she rolled her eyes and glanced at the bowstaff hidden among her things. She took a deep breath and released it, "You don't need it, Barton.", she glanced at her watch and closed her eyes, Natasha and Tony might be having to watch the kids if this all goes south. She ran her tongue over her teeth and opened her eyes, she can't afford to think like that. She took a deep breath and rolled her right shoulder, the shine of the phoenix tattoo glowing through, "For home and country I stand. My family and my people I protect. The phoenix rises out the ashes, ready to save the world.", her eyes glowed and she marched forward. It was time to stand against friends, in order to stand against the enemy.
"Bucky, Sam, you guys will need to find the carrier. It's hidden. Wanda, Clint, and Scott, stay hidden until the signal is given. Steve, you and I will go find Tony. I know he his here. The airport has been evacuated. We are looking to distract, not maim. They stand against us but they are still our friends, our family.", they nodded and she rubbed her wrist lightly, "If this goes bad, Wanda and Sam will need to focus on any flyers Tony has. Bucky and Steve, your main goal is to get to the carrier. My goal is to keep everyone safe." They watched as she held her necklace once more, "Let's move out." Everyone nodded and dispersed, Steve and Clint sending a nod, Ashlyn was to be protected. If only they remembered that she put everyone else before her, moreso than she did a year and a half ago.
