Not Close Enough (A Shoey Fanfic)

Joey's P.O.V

I wake up to the sound of Sawyer throwing bottles and screaming at someone. I get scared. Then I remind myself, Im Joey, Im a grown man. I walk out of my room and down the two sets of five stairs. I look in to the kitchen. Shane and Sawyer are arguing about something. They didn't seem to notice me so I just stood there listening.

Shane: "Sawyer, Im sorry but I cant, It wont be right!"

Sawyer: "Please, I promised myself that when Lisa finally wanted a break from you, I would make my move."

Woah, ok. I walk slowly back up to my room.

Shane's P.O.V

I don't know why sawyer is doing this to me.

me: "Its only a break she's still my girlfriend."

I start to cry. why would Sawyer do this to me?

Sawyer: " listen man. My feelings are too strong, I can't ignore them."

Shane: "but she's mine."

I get angry. I punch Sawyer in the face. before he could get up I grab my phone and my keys and walks as fast as I can out the door, into my car and towards my apartment.

Joey's P.O.V

I heard the front door slam so I go back downstairs to find out what happened. when I walk into the kitchen Sawyer is laying on the ground holding his nose, I feel out!

Me: "Oh my God!! Sawyer!!"

I grab some paper towels and start wiping the blood from his nose.

Me: "What happened?"

Sawyer: "I crossed my boundaries, I guess."

Shane's P.O.V

I walk through the door of my apartment and sit on the couch. I don't know how long I sat there but it must have been a while because Lisa came home.

Lisa: "Shane we need to talk."

Me: "Ok"

Lisa: "I cant be with you anymore. your just not...meeting my standards."

I just sit there, staring at the blackness of the TV.

Lisa: "I think you should-"

The door slams open and sawyer walks in. He didn't notice I was sitting on the couch.

Sawyer: "Lisa, Where is Shane? Nevermind. I need to ask you something but first."

He kissed her. At first Lisa I can tell Lisa was stunned but then its like she melted into his kiss. I stand up and leave. When im in my car I think about where I could go. My moms? No I don't want her to find out yet. I have no where to go. Someone taps on my window. I look and see joey standing there. I roll down my window.

Joey: "Are you ok?"

Its like I got struck in my heart with lightening and its slowly and painfully breaking. I break down and cry harder then I have before. Joey opens the car door and puts one arm under my legs and the other around my back and carries me to the other side of the car and puts me in the passenger seat. He then gets into the drivers seat and we head for Joey's house.

Lisa's P.O.V

Shane left and part of me wanted to cry but the other part wanted to stay here with sawyer forever.

Joey's P.O.V

I went with sawyer to Shane's apartment. I waited in sawyers car but when I saw shane run to his car and sit in it, I knew something was wrong. That's how im in this position now. When we finally reach my apartment, Shane is calm enough to walk inside with me. We walk in.

Me: "Sit down and tell me everything that happened."

Shane sits down on the couch and pats the seat beside him so I sit there.

Shane: "Lisa said that she couldn't stand me anymore because Ive been getting more closer to my friends then her and she says im not meeting her needs."

Me: "Shane im sorry!"

Shane: "That's not even the worst part. She made out with sawyer right in front of me and she fucking enjoyed it!"

Shane started to get angry. He started trying to pull out his hair. I hug him and tell him its ok. He looks up at me. I look at his lips. They would be wonderful to kiss right now. WAIT. Im not gay am I?

Shane's P.O.V

I look up at joey. I notice him staring at my lips. Then he looks away and for a second I thought I felt disappointed. Am I gay?
