Shane's P.O.V
I wake up to the sound of two people fighting. Joey is no where to be found. Its probably just the usual mother and father fighting. I grunt and then flip over and pull the blanket over my head. Err I could still hear them. I turn and put the pillow over my head squeezing really hard trying to block the noise. I gave up and stood beside the bed. I stomped all the way downstairs. I looked at Shelby and Joey.
Me: What the fuck are you arguing about!
Joey: Shelby over here is having a problem with our decision last night!
Shelby: No im not. But what kind of mother would give one of her babies to someone else!
They started arguing again.
Me: SHUT UP!!
I hear Nadia and Aidan start crying. Ughhh.
Shelby: Now see what you've done shane.
She marches upstairs to the nursery. yes its called a nursery. I lay down on the couch and put my arm over my eyes. Im exhausted. Joey pokes my arm. I forgot he was still here. I remove my arm and smile up at him.
Joey: You ok?
Me: yea just tired.
I sit up and pat the seat next to me. Joey sits down and I put my head on his chest.
Me: I don't see what the problem is with what we decided last night.
Joey: I don't either.
He kisses my forehead. I look up and kiss his lips. I hear a knock at the door. Joey goes and opens it. I cant see him but I listen to the conversation.
Joey: Hello?
??: Hi is Shelby here she never showed up at home. I got kind of worried. Expecially with her having a kid. Your joey right?
Joey: Yea...how do you know Shelby?
??: Oh im Madison her best friend!
Joey: Oh hey Madison. Come on in. Shes upsatairs with the babies.
Madison: Babies?
Joey: She had twins!
Madison: OH MY GOD!! I need to see her pronto!
Joey: Haha ok. Just go ups-
Madison: I know your floor plan.
Joey: Ok.....
I see her go upstairs and joey come from around the corner towards the couch.
Joey: That was weird...
Shane: Yea....
I stand up and go to joey.
Shane: Come on lets go talk to Shelby and maybe we can get Madison's help.
Joey: Ok yea lets try.
We walk up the stairs and into the nursery. I see Shelby and Madison sitting on the floor playing with Nadia and Aidan.
Shane: Hey can we talk?
Me and joey didn't wait for an answer we just sat down beside them. Joey picked up Nadia and started playing with her fingers. Ok guess that means im doing the talking.
Me: Shelby, Why cant Joey keep Nadia and you keep Aidan?
Shelby: Because I have my doubts.
Me: What kind of doubts?
